Best Western Bay Harbor Hotel

Only complaint is that hotel restaurant was changing ownership and meneu was in "flux"...changing from seafood planw to burgers. I think the seafood place was a better choice, but it's not money. Booked on with great rate for what you get. Recommended.

Ammenities: There really asnt much to offer here - the beach that is adverised is more of a scenic look out to the bay - would not recommend swimming in Bay water Location: If you are staying here keep in mind - you are at least 30 / 45 min away from everything - you also get too here the Bars playing music until 9 / 10pm Room Cleanliness: the Rooms were Nice i would rate an 8 out of 10. However I woudnt e surprised i you found a broken door knob or two. Comfort: As i aforementioned if you are staying a day or two its tolerable - If you plan on vacationing - and long stay I would recommend something else Staff: Very Freindly - Nice and Helpful Value: You get what you pay or HOGANS BEACH / AKA CRBBY BILLS? OMG! Hogan’s on the Beach is adjacent to the Hotel. it was somewhat interesting walking through the main hallway toward the entrance of the restaurant – seeing one or two of the wrestling greats and older movie photos of Hulk Hogan and Sylvester Stallone. The whole personas changed as you started realizing there is absolutely nothing but pictures of Hogan himself. It’s like eating at a Shrine totally devoted to ones self. I was embarrassed to see how much ego one person could possibly have. There is nothing in this restaurant that wowed me. The food was mediocre at best and the endless pictures of Hogan in speedos and flexing didn’t help keep the food down. As for the beach – all you have is sand – If anyone decides to swim in this water I suggest you get your shots up to date. The Tiki bar was relaxing but the music way too load to even have a conversation. Incidentally when you talk to some of the employees. I asked “So let me take a stab at this – does Hulk Hogan own this place?” Their response was “DO YA THINK?” – What an ego huh? Do your self a favor and mix it up a bit –

Nice and comfy. Nothing like a motel but not to fancy like a hotel.

The Hotel was fine. We were disappointed that there was no continental breakfast included. Dinner at Crabby Bill's, wasn't bad, but we are both allergic to seafood, so the only thing we could order was their burgers. Took a long time to get them and they were under cooked.

HOTEL NOT BAD, HOWEVER, POOL WAS FREEZING AND THERE WAS ONLY ONE ELEVATOR WORKING. ALSO, THERE WAS A GROUP OF YOUNG FOOTBALL PLAYERS - NOT SURE WHO BEHAVED WORSE, THE KIDS OR THEIR PARENTS. HOTEL STAFF SHOULD HAVE HANDLED PROBLEM BETTER. WON'T BE BACK.

Location and staff at the hotel were great. The room was cleaned as well

We had a wonderful view of Tampa Bay. The beds were comfotable. The resturant was a little shabby,but was loaded with locals(it is under renovation). The airport shuttle was very good. would recomend this hotel

Really enjoyed my stay here! The rooms was clean the staff was family our view from the balcony was great! Would be visiting again

The only problem was the water faucet in the bathroom sink dripped and also was leaking at the top part where you turn it on, getting water on the counter area (and anything sitting on the counter!) It would have been nice to have had an in-room microwave, but there was one down in the lobby. The hall was warmish and smelled 'funky', but our room was fine. The bolt on the room door did not work but the top bar worked fine. There were plenty of towels and I liked the multiple pillows. Comfy bed. The restaurant next door had good food, but their service was very slow - waited over a half hour for meal (after an appetizer) and another 25 minutes once done eating to get a box for leftovers, along with the check.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel, this time we got a bayview room and it was wonderful. We arrived in town for the USF game early, I'd say around 12:30pm, and was able to check right in. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The adjoining restaurant has great food and drink specials (happy hour 3-7) The only issue was that for some reason our mini fridge was missing. Hotel quickly corrected the problem but the one brought to us was broken. (Didn't notice for 5 hours that it wasn't working). The problem was corrected immediately. The hotel has a nice pool with choice of lounge chair or table and chairs. Also, there is a small beach area on the hotel property but it only seems like it is used to rent jet skis. It would be wonderful if the hotel could utilize the area for sunbathing. I noticed that not many of the locals were in the water (Tropical Issac had just passed through days before) so wasn't sure if there was a bacteria warning, so we just enjoyed the pool.
