Adequate. No frills. Office hours were odd. No coffee pot, just a small soap two towels and two wash cloths and you had to pay a 100.00 deposit in case of damages or theft. You make your own bed. The kitchenette did not have any utensils pots or pans. The room was clean. We would not stay here again. Only reason we stayed here was because there was nothing else available. This one was one is in an ok area.

DO NOT Book through ANY online source without calling directly to reconfirm. They will not honor online confirmations if you do not call. Several families standing in line to check in on a sold-out weekend (Parents Weekend) were denied a room. There are virtually no amenities. The rooms all have full refrigerators, stoves and microwave ovens, but no pans, plates, silverware. No hairdryers, no coffee makers, no ice makers. There is no lobby or common rooms. The place was very clean, but sparse. Only one person was working the in "office" the entire weekend. The office window, the only direct contact to staff, was kept closed most of the weekend. Guests had to use the phone hanging on the wall to call the clerk to get any service. Check in tool 45 minutes. This is a last resort place to stay.

The hotel was very clean and for us in a fairly good location. The staff was extremley friendly and helpful, [...] We stayed three nights and had to take down our towels to the office to get new ones and on one of those days they did not have any clean towels to give out.

We were told they would hold our room. They didn't. We reserved a room with 2 beds. All we could get was one bed. The floor felt sticky. The rules sheet I was handed was NOT readable. All rooms were supposed to be non-smoking rooms but this one was smoked-in. The person we could get a hold of was nice.

This was the worst. We arrived to the hotel to find the hotel overbooked. We had reserved 2 non smoking rooms- none were available. (A family arrived after us who had reserved 4 months early and they were turned away). We were charged a $100 per room security deposit that we were not expecting. One of our room had not been cleaned, and there were no linens on the bed. The a/c did not work in one room, and the other had broken plumbing. This "hotel" is really a rooming house. The rooms are cleaned (presumably) once every 2 weeks. You are responsible to take out your own trash or there is a financial penalty. You are alloted one roll of toilet paper per week- if you run out, you must buy more. No tissues, no shower supplies, no iron. No Nothing! We were certainly not expecting much- but this is was disgusting. There is no "staff." The front desk in the entry area (no lobby, no chairs, no rest room) is open limited hours, the rest of the time you must dial on a phone and wait 30 or more minutes for a response.

I was able to relax in the clean atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel was located in a good location that was very peaceful.

The Value Place Tallahassee West was as basic as it gets. If all you are looking for is a clean place to lay your head at night, this place is adequate. If you are looking for anything more, you will be sorely disappointed. It's easy to get to from I-10. There are restaurants and shopping near by.
