Budget Tallahassee hotel convenient to mall, movies and FSU

room was clean but damp
The room was the cleanest we've stayed in so far out of 5 hotel chains in past 4 years, breakfast was good, everything was humid inside room, the a/c was either on or off no inbetween the dampness clung in the air. Given the age of everything in Tallahassee I don't think you can do anything about it except upgrade the A/C or add a dehumidifier. Also don't think it's right to triple prices on parent's weekend, but I guess that's business.

Good, bad and ugly
We were there for an FSU game. The rooms were filthy! There were dead cockroaches in the bathrroom. The bathroom door wouldn't even shut. No one ever came and cleaned our room.

Disappointing
For a LaQuinta, this was quite disappointing. Mostly due to overall cleanliness and peeling/chipped paint in the room. Location was good for what I needed. Luckily this was just a one night stay. Also, hotel wouldn't provide me any credit toward reward program as this was booked through Orbitz.

Good location, good price
I was there to drop my son off at FSU. I loved the location of the hotel. Very clean. I had a first floor room next to the lobby, so there was a lot of foot traffice outside my room. One morning the maid was knocking on the door at 9:00 - I waived services that day. The rooms aren't brand new but very clean. Pool was fine. I would stay there again.

Clean Room, Good AC, Comfortable Beds
Typical La Quinta Hotel lobby with a complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. Rooms were quiet and clean. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean but older. The shower pressure was adequate. Parking can get a little problematic as the IHOP next door uses the same hotel parking lot.
