Charming boutique hotel

My one night stay at Governors Inn was comfortable, relaxing, and better than I had hoped for. The room was spacious and clean, the four-post bed very comfortable and the amenities adequate. The window faced a wall inches away, which was a little disappointing on the scenic view front but great for privacy. At any rate where the view let down the rest of the hotel more than compensated. The interior was bright, welcoming and had a charming southern vibe. The continental breakfast could use a little variety but adequate, and for the rate I was paying I really can't complain. The staff was very gracious and helpful. The other guests I encountered were quiet and polite. Having spent too many nights in overpriced blase chain hotels, Governors Inn was a pleasant surprise. Definitely will return if the chance presents itself.

Great getaway weekend.

This inn is in the heart of downtown Tallahasssee so dining, bars, parks are in walking distance. The staff was very nice and the beds are very high but incredibly comfortable. The inn had a beautiful historic lodge feel to it. I recommend this inn!

FSU Graduation

We decided to stay at The Governors Inn based on location to FSU for a Fall graduation. It was a late arrival and the room was not very clean. We were told due to using a third party to book the room we could not be given a different room because we were not authorized an upgrade and those were the only rooms available.

Quick Trip

We stayed on a weekend for a wedding, and it's a cute little hotel. It's dated and could use a renovation to freshen everything up but it is in a great location.

Great location

Very pleasant staff. The valet was a nice benefit and complimented the upscale atmosphere. The only negative was that I stayed on the 3rd floor and there were no elevators. The room And accommodations were great otherwise!!

Location, location...Rooms ok, facilities limited

Boutique hotel. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. A few minor gripes like no cups to go with coffee machine (?), inadequate wardroom, and below average continental breakfast arrangement/ provisions. For short-term visitors to the Capitol the location is difficult to beat.
