not good value for money
i stayed at this hotel and was VERY DISAPPOINTED the beds need up graded, Micheal manger needs to be fired, he is very rude i paid $71 a night, breakfast was not included it costs extra, no microwave in room, a/c didn't work,was there 6 days sheets where not changed,then on check out they wanted to charge me $10 a day resort fee for things i didn't use "eg" shuttle bus to mall, city bus stop right out side,shuttle to beach, "why"" beach is in back of hotel, hotel needs renovation really bad,, pool had seagulls taking a bath in it, jacuzzi water was GREEN and nasty

i would stay there again!
I was in vacation with my best friend and both of us was glad with everything in the hotel, the service is good and the location couldn't be beter, It was my second time traveling to Florida but if I have the opportunity of going there again I will definitely staying at this hotel.

All I can say is I would definitely stay there again when I visit Miami. Great location, right on the beach, large room, clean, and good service. Love it!

This property was on the beach
This property was on the beach and it was very accessible. The room was satisfactory but the location was far from the Miami Port where I was scheduled to be that next morning. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves the beach and is on a budget. The staff was ok. I didn't need any assistance after checking in. Check in was fast.

Didn't meet our expectations.
the location it's the only good thing of this hotel, don't get trapped by the fair price for a miami beach stay. The front desk staff is kind but gave us a occupied room and also left our luggage unattended for more than 12h at the lobby,,shame. I didn't feel safe, most of the housekeepers were no kind. It's an old hotel and very corny, the apartments sound proof system doesn't work, you will wake up when someone is arriving or when someone wakeup, horrible. They provide a continental breakfast but either the restaurant owner and his staff aren't friendly at all. The sheets and towels were rough and old.

Entertainment tip:
Short drive from hotel
to enjoy a beautiful sunny day don't miss going to key biscayne and having lunch at a wonderful Asian restaurant called Origins. Can't forget to tell about the island beauty.

Staff are very nice and helpful. However, Bar on first floor made horrible music unitl midnight (00:05) on 29 of Dec. Many complained to Frontdesk and the fact was that Frontdesk staff had no authority to control the Bar.

great location
The only complaint I have would be when the cleaning personnel knocked on our door and I told her to come back in an hour. We left for about 5 hours and when we returned the room was not made. We were not happy. We had to call down after hours to have them get our trash and dirty towels.

Fantastic Value - if you want value
The T bird is fantastic value - we have stayed here many times. The location is fantastic, the rooms were really well cleaned on a daily basis. However If you are expecting the ritz, this isn't for you. It's an old Hotel that is being well looked after, but it is showing it's age. Being on the beach and close to Aventura Mall, South beach (2$on the S bus and 30 mins) or a free shuttle is great - the 2 bars are friendly and welcoming as is the restaurant. It's all about expectation - we are only in the room to sleep, and the service is always great. If you are expecting a 4 star Hotel you may be dissapointed... My advice - book it - get out on the beach, chill with the Locals and actually enjoy meeting people from around the globe, you will be all the better for it :-)Say hello to [...] if you want a strong Cocktail making, and [...] and [...] the concierges will give you good and safe advice.
