Amazing Experience

My wife and I couldn't be more happy with our experience at Tradewinds Island Grand. The hotel staff truly understands the meaning of hospitality. From the bell-hop to the concierge to every other resort employee, we were treated like royalty. We had an issue with the A.C. in our original room that could not be fixed until the next morning. Therefore, the resort went above and beyond to move us the best available room (Penthouse). They turned an issue out of their control, which could have ruined our experience, into one of the best vacation experiences possible. I will return and will recommend this resort to everyone

Great Vacation!

Hotel is fantastic for family, friends or even for a romantic getaway for an active couple. The property itself is great. Clean, all the amenities you need with multiple food, drink , and snacking options. The adult pool and the beach are great for relaxation and the couple. while there are two other pools for families that can get crowded but overall are a great experience for the kids. Activities for the kids almost hourly which keeps them running around all day. No time for tablets and cellphone play while playing with other kids. The water slide is fun for all ages and included with your stay. you cannot beat having that on the beach. 4 restaurants on the property are great for easy food choices. Food is pretty good at all locations and slightly on the pricy side but this is as expected when dining on the resort. I would recommend this property to anyone headed to St Pete. There is no other property that compares to this resort on the island.

Over Priced Vacation

First I want to say that the hotel was nice. The rooms were decorated well. There was a microwave, dishes provided and a small refrigerator in our room. However, we are charged for a resort fee for rooms that are over priced compared to other hotels. The " resort " was gated and did not allow for guest to come and visit due to parking. There were several restaurants on site but they were too pricey. It did have several small pools which was nice and direct access to the beach. Free towels were provided for the pool and the beach. There were limited restaurants and local attractions for the amount of rain that happened. I did not know that June was the rain season in Florida Gulf. After the storms the beaches and water was covered in sea grass ....yuck! However, the staff was helpful and pleasant especially during a Saturday morning FIREALARM..because people do not keep an eye on there kids and there is only one camera that I saw monitoring the entire complex. I learned alot..1. to bring your own food from publix for breakfast and lunch and go out for dinner to save money. Go out and buy your own liquer and mix it yourself $ 10 bucks for weak liquior..no thanks

TradeWinds

The resort was exactly what we were looking with our first visit to Tampa. We had a traditional hotel room accommodation and it fit our family of 4 just right. The location was awesome and it was walking distance to nearly everything. The beach activities kept the kids busy and the price was right. We wanted a reasonably priced beach front location with cold drinks. We will go back.

Tradewinds Inn

We booked thru Or. bitz and were shocked at the nearly $200 due at. Checkouts for 'free' amenities. Had I known $35 a day was going to be charged I would have used them more.

Vacation

There was a lot of things to do at the hotel. The beach is beautiful and staff is wonderful. I hated that at the beginning of my stay they gave me a bracelet to make it seem like it included all the amenities. But then when I checked out there was actually a $140 charge for all the things they told me were included. I would go back.

Real nice stay and great beach!

Had a very nice stay at the Tradewinds for four days. Service, room, food, and amenities were all very good. The only complaint was the noise level at night. We were on the 5th floor and could clearly hear the live music at the bar at the pool as late as 11:30pm. Hotel should curfew the music.

Great Mother/Daughter trip

We had a wonderful time relaxing on the beautiful beach and swimming in the pool and the warms gulf waters. It was nice that there was an adult only pool to relax in. The children in the family pools looked to be having a wonderful time. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Rooms were nice/average. The only negative was the high price of the drinks.
