At the end of a long day in the Florida sun, a hammock is the best seat in the house.

March at the Sirata on St. Pete Beach

Great place for the active family! The evening manager "Al" can be a little offensive in his assumption that your children are not being watched but we chalked this up to cultural differences.

pleasantly suprised

you always take a chance when you look at pictures on-line. sirata, was an iffy, but the chance worked out. my wife is a clean demon and they passed the test. room and grounds kept clean on a daily basis. we had a studio thru a broker and got a good price for the 2 wks. we were there ( MARCH 2013). generally. we give a plus to cleaniness, staff, housekeeping, beach, pools, whirlpools, security, quietafter 9pm.---we give a minus to ; food and drink ( average, then overpriced) water temp change while in the shower, parking ( or lack of ) and a 8$ daily fee

A good place to stay.

Contrary to some reviews, we had no problem with Sirata Resort. Rooms are modern and clean. Everything was operational from the hot tub outside to both pools and all bars. They have live music nightly, good beach food selection at the bars and great staff. Also, can't beat the location right on the beach. A request for a crib from the service desk was honored within minutes. Overall, we are all very pleased. Just wish they had a microwave in the room-- though it's possible-- it's an extra charge. The fridge is free though ;)

Unimpressed

I booked a beach view room for my wife and I as a weekend get-a-way. The room was not in my opinion a 3-4 star hotel. The veiw was nice, however the bathroom was Very small and not cleaned very well. I found several hairs from private regions around the floor. The bathtub was cheap and the bottom was cracked and moved when you stepped in. I've seen better accomoditations at budjet motels. The advertisement indicated free wi-fi, but after ten muinets the wirless cut off unless I payed $10.00 for a twenty four hour period. Also there was a fee to park. For the money I spent, I was UNIMPRESSED and will not return.

Great Beach, Nice Pools, Average Rooms

Make no mistake, this beachfront property stands out solely based on its location and the grounds. The rooms, service, and facilities are average. Still, given the price, my family would return to this property. Positives: Breakfast at the Compass Grille, heated pools, outdoor fireplaces, and a beautiful beach. Negatives: The resort has no true lobby, the rooms need refurbishing, the children's arcade consists of a few games from about 25 years ago, and there didn't seem to be enough people working at the resort. Those who were working, however, did work hard. Conclusion: Sirata is a good value on a great property that will suit most vacationers. Just don't expect a lot of frills.

Holiday Getaway

The only thing good was the room we reserved. It has the view of the the gulf of Mexico. But we paid top dollars for that. The quality of the room was very average, bathroom was very small.
