A nice place

Nothing fancy in the hotel rooms. Your basic room with with a bed and a TV. The rooms could certainly use some updating. The shower pressure was no fun, definitely could be improved. The location is great, right on the shore.

Lots of fun!

Rooms not as contemporary as photos. Cleanliness, and staff attentiveness along with the easy access to everything on and off the property, made it a fantastic stay.

Sirata is outstanding

The Sirata is located in the middle of St. Pete Beach and minutes away from shopping and restaurants. We have stayed at the Sirata for a couple of weekend getaways over the years and decided a week there would be fun as we were becoming familiar with the area. The room was cleaned daily and the grounds were spotless. The staff was most helpful and pleasant. The pools were refreshing and the gulf outstanding. Will positively do it again.

Nice Hotel Needs Customer Service

The location of this hotel is great. It's located directly on the beach and within walking distance to to the grocery store, drug store, beach stores, and restaraunts. There are three pools on site, although we only used one the whole time that we were there. We booked a king suite because we were taking my teenage daughter and her friend and we thought that would give all of us a little bit of privacy. The one detail that was left out was that there is no door on the separate bedroom, so some of the privacy factor is still missing. Everyone still had to get dressed in the bathroom. It would have been nice to know that we weren't getting an actual separate bedroom. The one major problem that we had was with the couch in our room. We used the pull out sofa bed for the girls to sleep on. On our second night there, my husband and I sat on the couch to watch television and were completely taken over by a foul smell. After some hunting around, we found that it was a smell coming from one side of the couch. It smelled like someone had vomited on it and it had never been cleaned. We made a call to the front desk and they sent someone up to clean it up. It was late at night, so the guy who came up used what I would call a commercial Febreeze and said that he would report the problem the next morning. His nose even curled when he smelled it. The next morning, we went to the front desk to ask about getting the issue taken care of. The young man and the desk said that he would send someone up to check it out to see what needed to be done, but wasn't sure when it would be. About 7 or 8 hours later, someone knocked on our door. My husband opened the door and motioned the housekeeping lady in. She wanted to know if we wanted our room cleaned, but he informed her that he thought she was there to check out the couch. She went on to tell us that every person in every room requests a new couch for their room because they all have that "new" smell. My husband went back and forth with her for a couple of minutes until he finally gave up and closed the door. She never even offered to come in and check it out to see if we were right. I know that other hotels that we have stayed at in the past would have went out of their way to make sure that the smell was taken care of one way or another, and this hotel simply brushed us off like it didn't matter. I know that it was not a "new" couch smell. I've never smelled anything new in my life that smelled like that. If that issue hadn't happened, I'd say that we would consider staying there again. However, not only did they not fix the problem, they treated us as if it were a non issue. That's not my idea of customer service, and it certainly doesn't warrant a return visit.

What a great place

This is our third visit to the Sirata and are more impressed every time. The grounds are beautiful, always staff cleaning and collecting garbage and the most beautiful beach in the world doesn't get much better. We went to celebrate our 30 wedding aniversary and it was perfect. Our room was wonderful with a great view of the beach. The staff is so nice we felt completely welcome and pampered. We will be back for 35
