room was designed akward, bed was next to front door while sofa and kitchen was in rear of room, this was very inconvenient, due to everyone that walks bye the front door can be heard. harrys beach bar had a great atmosphere. restraunt was completely unacceptable.

Dining

spinners restraunt next door is great with a exceptional view and atmosphere, food was great

Great place for a honeymoon!!!

Would recommend Thu, Sep 13, 2007
The Sirata Beach Resort was a great place to go for our honeymoon. The room had a great view of the gulf. We watched the dolphins playing in the gulf each day as we ate our lunch on our balcony. The room was comfortable and clean. The facility was clean and beautifully landscaped. The pool was clean and warm. The gift shop had a variety of nice items, including souveniers. There were good restaurants within walking distance. Walmart was a short drive as was the grocery store. Walgreens and CVS were also within walking distance. September was a GREAT month to go to the gulf! (no crowds) My husband and I are looking forward to returning each year for our wedding anniversary. This was definitely a very special time for both of us!

Dining

The italian restaurant, Skitter's is a GREAT place to dine. Their pizza and homemade bread were delicious! The restaurant south of the hotel (Village) was a great place for breakfast. Reasonable and good food.

Friendly staff, nice rooms

Its a nice hotel, freindly staff. The room is decent size, nice and cozy. The only problem I had was the size of the television...13inches.

Dining

Theres a pizza shop accross the street, 7-11 down the street, and a few seafood restaurants within walking distance.

The Sirata Beach Resort was very comfortable, the room was good with all that we needed. The bathroom was kind of small. The location was very good it was very close to the pool and very close to the beach. The people from the front desk were very nice and kind. It is a beautiful place. We enjoyed our stay there.

Dining

There is a very good restaurant near the Hotel called Bill's Crab It was really good

Worst hotel experience I ever had. First of all, way over priced. Second, the room stank of cleaning solution. I had to sleep with a surgical mask that I bought locally as I am highly allergic. When I bought the rooms smell to the reception desk, they said, sorry, no other room available. Lastly, the staff could have cared less that I was there customer or subject to sickness due to their room. I would only say something positive about the concierge. He was helpful in finding a medical supply store.

Never Again

Would not recommend Sun, Jul 29, 2007
The room was roomy...that's the only good thing. We were locked out of our room until 2am because the battery in the lock went dead...we were told twice that maintenance was on the way, then more time went by and we called the front desk a third time and were told that maintenance isn't even on the property at night!! Finally got into our room and the next morning noticed that housekeeping took our soap from the shower and didn't leave us a new one so we couldn't wash up...then that night we came back to our room and went to wash up and brush our teeth for bed and guess what...there was NO WATER! unbelievable! We were also told we would be compensated but when we went to check out, the front desk knew nothing about any of the problems we had :-( We will never stay there again...oh and the beach bar closes at 10pm--how stupid is that?

Property was well maintained and staff was friendly and helpful. Great location, walking distance to shopping and dining. Beach was excellent. Charges for beach lounges too expensive.

Honeymoon Hideaway

Would recommend Sat, Jul 14, 2007
The Sirata Resort was a fantastic place for a perfect honeymoon. The Staff overall was outstanding with exception the gentleman who check us in. The Mangrove Grille was so far below our expectations on food quality that we would never recommend dining there to anyone. However the service was the best we had on the whole stay. Overall stay was two thumbs up! We can't wait to return! The beach and beach staff were absolutely wonderful!

Dining

Definetly check out The Brass Monkey on Pass A Grille, great food, people and the view is second to none.

Romantic Getaway

Would recommend Mon, Jul 9, 2007
Our stay at the Sirata was wonderful. The hotel is situated in the middle of the beautiful St. Pete's beach. The grounds and facilities are older but kept in very good condition. The staff was very friendly and professional. We stayed in the King Bed Suite and my only complaint is the way the suite is designed, you enter into the bedroom which is a little strange. The kitchenette had a full size refridgerator and the cupboards were well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils (no microwave). There was plenty of closet space and drawer space. We can't wait to return with our pre-teen and teenaged boys.

Dining

Cafe Luna was fabulous. An amazing dining experience. (Leave the kids at the pool)

Our Family thought we were very well taken care of .The location is excellent at the beach and with a quick drive we were at the fabulous Busch Gardens. John's Pass has several wonderful dinner spots and the dolphins can be viewed right off the board walk.We will be back soon!
