The sugary sands and dolphins of the islands -- on Florida's West Coast

Located on 13 acres of sugary sand on St. Pete Beach, the Sirata Beach Resort combines warm Gulf breezes with famous West Coast sunsets. Guests can stroll along the sandy beaches, swim in the pools and whirlpools or, if they are lucky, catch a glimpse of wild dolphins offshore. Adventurous types can try a variety of water sports in the Gulf of Mexico, including parasailing and Waverunner rentals. At the end of a long day in the Florida sun, a hammock is the best seat in the house.

Highlights
  • Three beachfront pools (heated when necessary), two whirlpools
  • Beachfront hammocks, poolside or beachside cabanas (fees apply)
  • Exclusive golf privileges less than five miles away at an 18-hole Championship golf course
Location

Busy!! Beautiful Resort!!

We went to St. Petersburg for a family get-together and a wedding. The location of the Sirata was very beautiful and convenient. The gym was also a big plus! Beach area was very scenic and the hammocks were so relaxing and tropical. My daughter loved them. It's a very large resort and the Hotel folks were very nice, however they need to map out the entry to each building more effectively. There are four buildings and it was a bit confusing. Also, some of the water fountains were not working and there was garbage in them, they should be kept up, and the room was a little dusty :( The services at the wedding dinner party were excellent! Overall... great get away!!

July 2009 visit

front desk staff very helpful, housekeeping is so-so. The Compass Grille has great food and reasonable prices. Parking can be a problem, and overflow parking is across the street. Not the greatest situation when parking charges are $8/day.

Sirata Beach Resort

The food was overpriced $3.50 for a glass of juice. And you have to pay for parking $8.00 a day. The room was clean and quite. It was a great location.
