Magnuson Hotel Ocean Palms

We had a nice stay here. The rooms were decent and clean. The location was good. There was a Denny's 2 doors down in walking distance w/ great service. We would stay here again if we had too.

It was very short. We experienced a 10 minute conversation about how we were only allowed to smoke in certain areas. We explained twice that we do not smoke, but that seemed to be ignored. When we finally got to our room, the key cards did not work. We called the office and explained things. Two more key cards were brought over, and neither one of those worked. We then decided to go elsewhere. And I still have not received my money back for the hotel that we did not stay in.

The experience was terrible. There was used bath towels left on the floor, leftover soap in the shower along with hair everywhere. Plumbing acted up instantly. After confronting hotel staff, they were disconcerned, brushed it off, and admitted that they have had numerous complaints. And concluded by saying there was nothing that they could to secure costumer satisfaction.

Could not supply clean towel because they did not have any. Strange [*] female not staying in motel came looking in the windows and knocking on the door trying to sell a cheap watch. A young [*] male not staying there was on grounds peeing on the bushes. Security exit gate brooken an wide open so the folks mention above and every low life in the area just drifted in and out at all hours of the day and night!!

This is not the quality I know coming from a Ramada Inn. It is not located in the best neighborhood and the secure gate was secured on one side of the parking lot, but the other side of the parking lot stood open 24-7. The attached restaurant is not owned by the hotel and the food is not what I expected for breakfast. Indian cuisine is what the restaurant serves, so the breakfast turned out to be an Indian version of an American breakfast. Not very good. The hotel is run down and needs quite a bit of repair. There was a roach in our room and the paint was peeling. Also, a towel rack fell down (we had to put that back up).

The rooms were filthy, and the hotel was very noisy.

The motel was Ok but semed somewhat restricted with a gated parking lot and and asking for room number at breakfast. Room was quite small. Was kept very clean. Bed very comfortible. Very accessible to I-275

I requested and king size bed and at my arrival a was placed on a full size bed. I believe if I wasn't given what I request I won't travel to that sae place again.

The fist negative was the "pissy mattress" out back of the hotel. With all of the bedbugs scares that made me itch. The room had peeling paint and the closet rack had "caked on" dirt. The hotel had rooms that appeared nicer than the one that we were given. It could be coincidental, but we asked to change rooms because the one we had was so bad and the next day I saw another person of color in the room we vacated. Grandma served the food in the breakfast area and she also cleaned the rooms. Another family member ask abruptly where's your meal ticket? We only ate there once. The computer had no paper in the printer and the person at the desk person could have cared less. Another person at the desk called the owner "dad". Although to cold to swim, the pool was dirty.

Very poor, not up to Ramada standards. Not familiar with ADA, staff was rude and inconsiderate. Dishes were cracked and dirty. Would not recommend to anyone. Also found out this is a high crime area.
