Mix Feelings

Four things to remember: a) Great location /nice rooms. My wife and I traveled with our two kids, a toddler and a 7 year old. Room with kitchenette was very convenient. b) Resort fee: IS NOT WORTH IT out of summer season. Fee for use of old inflatables ($4 a ride) is unacceptable. Beach umbrellas, seats and staff very nice though. c)Watch for your valuables, we lost a tablet as they forced us to move to another room in a hurry and left it behind. d) a big Balcony window exploded for not apparent reason; those windows are really old and perhaps has suffered with the external elements.

Chilli's gourmet Spanish tapa restaurant was awesome, great food and service. Even though was too spicy food for kids, the staff made every effort to provide some appetizers and deserts that compensated for them. $$$

50th Birthday Celebration

I chose this hotel because my family and I stayed here in July and had a good experience. This time was good with the exception of a couple of things. There was a group of teenages 2 rooms above us (we will on ground floor) who keep spilling beer and cigarettes onto our patio table. They were loud and cussing. We cleaned the table off a couple of times and the staff cleaned it a couple of times also. The front desk staff told me that other guest had complained about other things with this group and apparently security talked to them, this went on for 2 1/2 of the 4 days that we were there. I think they should have been kicked out of the hotel for the sake of the respecful and considerate guest that had to deal with this. The other thing was that my party left our room for the day to come back and find that the cleaning staff had left our front door open /unlocked. Nothing was missing but it was just bad business. I do love this hotel and would stay again, I just hope that writing this will help thme address these issues......

Perfect Location

The location is directly on the beach! Choices for food at the Outpost are limited and open limited hours. The Sandbar is ok can't compare to the entertainment at neighboring beach establishments. The resort fee is kind of a joke here. Most of the amenities are at its sister property a few hotels down. They should change this. The outpost can be such a better place if it had its own entertainment and more restaurants.

Fun Wedding Weekend

A great alternative to the Island Grand. It's close by and your resort fee includes full access to both properties. I could spend all day lounging in a cabana staring at the ocean! A great variety of food and drink too!

positive experience

I found the staff to be extremely friendly, loved the beach and the happy hour. Since I did not have a car, I found the location to allow me walking to many resturants. My stay was exactly what I wanted, just a few relaxing days to enjoy swimming, the beach and the nice weather. Would definitely visit the resort again!

My wife and I have been coming to this resort and St. Pete for over 15 years now. Sad to see the name change, but I can see some positive changes looking forward. We'll be back again!

Overpriced for the inconvenience

Room not cleaned one day and parking during events tended not to accomodate guests. Nothing special here.
