A vacation I can easily forget
I have been to St Pete's Beach before and enjoyed it But this is the first time at this hotel The room was very poorly cleaned especially the bathroom that had hair all over the floor EVERY SINGLE DAY and was never properly cleaned. I had to call the desk to clean the soiled toilet bowl before I would put my luggage down!!The exhaust vent in the bathroom was so crusted with lint that I cleaned it myself with a Q tip. The tile floor in the room was always sticky and felt really disgusting.Although we had daily housekeeping (HA) we had to request bathroom paper twice. Picked this hotel for the nightly entertainment but we never had any!!!!(they said because it was rainy) When do you need entertainment more than when the weather is foul? People were NOT warm and fuzzy!Would NEVER, EVER stay here again

Right on St. Pete's Beach!
Excellent hotel right on the beach -- nice rooms, kept very clean. Excellent customer service. Great value Awesome sunsets seen from beautiful beach! We definitely would go back to this hotel! There are several nice restaurants in area such as Mad Fish (next door) and Frog Pond for breakfast.

Nice gulf front resort
We only stayed one night, but the location is great, the staff was wonderful and the beach front is beautiful. The rooms are okay, not dirty just worn. They are large and have balconies and were clean with decent bedding and electronics. The bathrooms could use some updating. We would stay there again.

Excellent location/Excellent choice!
I loved this hotel. Mostly because of the location which is right on a great stretch of beach. Some hotels claim to "be on the beach" and are hundreds of steps away. Not this one. Your first step is sand. I had a "partial Gulf view" room which was great. I'll spring for the "full" view next time, because from left to right is all beach and water without any obstructions. Location, like most hotels there, are easily accessible to restaurants, stores, etc. Access to/from Grand Plaza to the main highway/airport is only minutes away. Inside and outside the hotel was very nice, cozy, and clean. I liked how it is not a huge hotel. Spinners restaurant--which revolves 360 degrees from atop the hotel, is a great viewing restaurant, and the lunch I had was very good. Staff & help was helpful & cordial. If you want a nice, relaxing, stay in a great location, at a relatively inexpensive hotel, you're in luck. I will go again.

Another great stay
This is the 5th time we've stayed at the Grand Plaza and each time has been great. Rooms are not overly large but more than adequate for a getaway. To be right ON the beach and also have a nice, heated pool is wonderful. They have everything you need---clean rooms, friendly staff, and great location. The beach is right out front and all kinds of restaurants are withing walking distance.

Great getaway
We had a great time. The staff was wonderful and the room and the pool were great. The only disappointment was the fitness room. It could has been better.

best location
stayed for two days. although the roioms as clean as any other, the room design, the choice of furnitures, the room,s construction quality need a lot to work on. The management should think about making this place more attractive for honey mooners ans special memories given the location and the spinners restaurant etc.
