Grand Plaza Beachfront Resort Hotel & Conference Center

First time in St. Pete Beach. Didn't know what to expect. LOVED the hotel!!! Free parking a big plus! We were always able to find a spot on top level even when there were events (weddings) happening at the hotel. Received a free upgrade to partial Gulf View room [...] Room and balcony size very nice. Beds were very comfortable. A/C was GREAT! Loved the tile floors (staff kept swept/mopped at all times). Bathroom a bit small but efficient. Who cares if it's smaller. YOU ARE AT THE BEACH! Mini Fridge and Microwave in room (convenient). Dined at all restaurants. Food was a total value and was very good (tasty). Views from Spinners restaurant - awesome during the day! Staff members were very pleasant and accommodating! Elevator waits were a bit lengthy at times, but it was due to multiple weddings happening at the hotel at that time. Weekdays, wait time for elevators was very short. Free coffee and tea at anytime during the day/night in the lobby. Great places for pictures on the beach (hotel has palms and nicely landscaped flowers set up for weddings that you can take excellent pictures by). I would recommend this hotel to everyone; couples, families. Located in the middle of the main strip of resorts. Nice location. Shopping and restaurants within walking distance. We can't wait to go back!!!!

We went to St. Pete for a wedding. Because we missed the window to book a hotel that the bride and groom arranged, we had to book next door at the Grand Plaza. For 1 night stay we paid $257. We were not happy with the rate, but didn't really have a choice. So for $250 we were expecting to at least have a nice hotel room. This hotel was disgusting. When we first checked in it smelled like someone had just used the bathroom. The floors were dirty, the bathroom counter had globs of sticky substance, the towels looked to have yellow stains and the bed had sand in it. Because it was just 1 night and the wedding was next door we just stuck it out. However, for the money we spent we expected A LOT MORE out of the hotel. Even for a lower fair, I can't say I would recommend this place if you're looking for cleanliness.

The resort was wonderful. The staff was very cordial and helpful. The view from our room was fabulous....both bay and gulf. The underground parking was a plus. The view from the revolving restaurant was spectacular. The drinks in the beach-side bar were superb. I would definitely return in the future. It offerred the "best bang for the buck" on the bulf coast!

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Plaza. The resort is located right on the beach and the view from our direct gulf front room was fantastic. It is located near many restaurants if you choose not to eat at the resort and there are also beach stores and supermarkets within walking distance if you forgot something. The resort was very clean and well maintained. Our room was bright and cheerful. Even the sofa in the room was comfortable We were very pleased with the parking situation. There was no extra fees for parking and if you wanted to you could park your car below the hotel in a parking garage and keep your car out of the sun. Our only major complaint was with the elevators. Too many people crowded into them at times and they were extremely slow. We look forward to returning to the Grand Plaza next summer.

Clean rooms, excellent staff, nice stay

The beach was beautiful. The rooms in the hotel were just ok but the bed was very comfortable. I wish we had a better view when we stayed but for the money we paid the view was ok. I would not eat at the resturant upstairs again the food was not very good and it was very unafforable. The beach bar was great and had better food then spinner (the resturant on the roof). I am not sure if I would stay here again. I would probably try somewhere eles on the beach.

I went alone for business and met with friends later in the evening and the following day to get some sun. There was no jacuzzi to relax in after work and long drive and the pool was not heated as it stated and there were unsupervised children everywhere jumping in the pool. I walked to the lovely beach only to find out that you must pay 20$ just to get a hotel chair to sit on per person... That's very bad service considering part of the reason you are there I to enjoy the beach at a hotel. The bathroom had alot of little bugs and room service food was inadequate. The hotel was outdated but had pretty elements. The gym equipment was out of order and the elevators were not working one evening... Seems like they could use some revamping. I would probably not choose this place again.

i relaxed and enjoyed the views from both terraces in our suite... had dinner in spinners and the net morning at breakfast in the plaza room which was absolutely delicious and everything ordered..was cooked to perfection... i cant wait to stay there again

The hotel room was very clean. They had a pool and were located on the beach (best of both). Close to Bush Gardens, Aquarium and shopping. We had great time,enjoyed our stay and would return there again.

This is an older hotel but is maintained very nicely. Very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I t is located right on the beach. It has an outdoor bar that you can walk right up to from the beach. I would definately stay here again.
