Love thy vacation
Good Vacation!
Overall, this is a good hotel for people who are looking to relax on the beach and don't want to spend too much money. Just about everything you need is there (restaurant, bar(s), pool, ocean, store(s), etc), but nothing is extra ordinary. We did enjoy the stay overall and would like to recommend this hotel for the view, friendly service and the overall atmosphere. Two things to mention - 1) - the room we stayed in did have too much furniture that got in the way of one another and - 2) - one night (at 2AM) the fire alarm went off because the cleaning crew used too much bleach to clean the lobby... Other than that, nothing else to report.

Relaxing beach vacation
The staff was very friendly and eager to please. We spent most of our time relaxing on the beach and at the pool. The beach bar has good food and entertainment. The only negative is how hectic tthe pace at the hotel becomes over the weekend (9 weddings!). However, the staff tries to accommodate those not involved in the weddings. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return for a fourth time.

Great place to just relax
I was looking for a nice n quiet place to stay in Florida...it hit the spot. Nice and quite just the right amount of entertainment(live band every night until10 pm). What impressed me the most was that the personnel was so attentive to every detail. Lovely hotel...also if you are on a budget and don't want to eat at the hotel..there are plenty of restaurants around...also a supermarket and a dollar store and even liquor stores, technically you can just go there without anything because there is everything there at the same prices at home.

Long weekend getaway
Generally was fairly nice stay, staff were helpful in getting us an early checkin with our tired toddler. The beach is nice, and the pool and beach bar bongos is nice too. The hotel is a little dated and poorly renovated, but overall it was not too bad. The staff were very accommodating, especially with our toddler. I would recommend it if you can get a good deal on price. Random comments: The shower was really good; bed was comfortable; decorating was dated; good sound proofing, except for the doors (hallway noise).

Great deal
We loved the Tiki Bar. The rotating restaurant was very good. The room was a little small with oversized furniture, but it was fine for our needs. The beach was great.

Great location
Our weekend away was great! The location was perfect and the hotel was good. The elevators were under repair or service so one elevator for the hotel was inconvenient but doable. Also the walls were paper thin so at 7am the lady next door spoke to the person in the room with her as if he was down the beach! The hotel staff was nice and the live music every night was a plus. After dinner just come back and enjoy the music for the rest of the night.

The R Bar is a locals fav and now mine too! On tue and thur there's all u can eat crab legs and their the best crab legs and a great one man band (Calzone) that's entertaining!

Very pleasant find
We flew in to the Tampa airport and found the drive to the hotel very easy. The hotel was very convenient to a wide variety of restaurants and, of course, to the beautiful beach within steps of the lobby. Sunsets were lovely and enjoyed by many. Our son stayed in a room on the seventh floor and had an absolutely outstanding view. The staff was very friendly, everyone stopped to smile and say good morning regardless of what they were doing at the time. Travel, at times, was a little difficult due to road construction but we managed fine. I would efinitely recommend it to others.

VACATION 2012
OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS PRETTY GOOD. HAD A LITTLE TROUBLE AT CHECK IN WHICH THEY GAVE US AN UPGRADE WHICH EASED THE PAIN A LITTLE. ELEVATORS SEEMED VERY SLOW. GETTING AND KEEPING TOWELS AT POOL-BEACHSIDE WAS NOT GOOD.

Great Honeymoon
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We had a great experience, we arrived a few hours before check in time, our room wasn't ready yet but the clerk at the front desk said he would call as soon as it was available. They called just like they said they would before the actual check in time to say our room was ready. The location is perfect (right on the beach and not as crowded as the clearwater area) Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We were upgraded for free to a partial ocean view room. Surrounding restaurants are very good. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in this area.
