Decent location but could use a elevator, parking could be better, food at the tiki bar was excellent.

Great stay for Great Price
The staff is friendly and down to earth. The room smelled a bit of mildew but the location right on the beach is great and the tiki bar is a blast!

A-OK Hotel
The great things about this hotel are the super friendly staff, the spotless rooms, and the beach front location. I, honestly, do not know if I have ever had attendants so eager to help or so ready with a smile. The room was amazingly clean. I'm not kidding! I'm pretty tough to impress in this area, but even the bathroom looked like it had been scrubbed with a toothbrush! The only negative side is that this is a rather old hotel. The pictures on the site manage to focus on the solid positives of this hotel, but upon entering the room, it is obvious, the Beachcomber has been around a good long while. The furnighings are older, the style of the room reminds me of hotel rooms from family vacations 25 years ago, and the water pressure in the shower was severely lacking. Given that other hotels I noticed close by were obviously much more up-to-date and had been only a bit more expensive, I would have chosen to stay at one of those instead had I known these details.

Go to Central Coffee Shoppe (530 Central Ave.) for breakfast!!!! This small, diner-type restaurant serves up the best coffee, omelets, and pancakes I have ever had! We were in town two mornings. We ate there both breakfasts! Absolutely yummy and inexpensive!

Fun place to stay
The staff at this hotel were fantastic - friendly and knowledgeable of the area. This hotel has a beach bar with bands starting at 11:00 a.m. and continuing through the night. The live music could not be heard in our room but we were closer to the main entrance of the hotel. The pool was clean and refreshing. It would be nice if they supplied beach towels for the pool area. The rooms were average but clean. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and plan on staying there in the future.

Beachcomber Beach Resort
The hotel was clean and the accomodations were good. However, it seemedl like more of a party hotel rather than a family hotel. The outside bar was busy all night with loud music, and a lot of drunks wandering around the premises late at night. There were several bachelor and bridal parties going on when we were there. If you are looking to party, it seems this is the place to be. The location is great, right on the beach.

Perfect Getaway
We loved the Beachcomber Beach Resort! It's located in a perfect spot right on St Pete Beach. We had a car but found that there were many restaurants and places to walk right from the hotel. Jimmy B's Beach Bar was the perfect spot watch the sunset and listen to great bands every day and its right on the property of the hotel. The room was exactly what we expected and if we go back to St. Pete we will stay at the Beachcomber again.

hotel was very clean and the hotel staff was very friendly my only problem was at the Jimmy bs beach bar you need a special card to get a discount on your drinks and meals I would think if you're staying at Hotel you would't need a card that takes 5 days to receive

Right on the beach
If you're not planning on spending a lot of time in your room, the location is terrific. There are so many nicer places on St. Pete Beach though.

I loved this place!
My friend and I were there for 5 days. We loved it. The purpose of our trip was to just relax and that is EXACTLY what we did. There was not a lot of people and is was very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we wanted to take the trolley to the pier in St. Petersburg. I did enjoy Jimmy B's and the fact that this hotel is right on the beach was perfect because that's where spent most of our time! And the beach was not crowded at all, that was a plus. I would have loved that they served breakfast, but we didn't have to travel far to get it because The Toasted Monkey right next store served it plus we had a little kitchenette in our room. Lots of nice places to eat. Snappers and Bongos on the beach were great! We plan on going back next year around the same time and I can't wait!
