Spacious unit
Check in was at a different hotel, which would be an unpleasant surprise if arriving late at night. Upgraded to larger one bedroom unit. Hotel right on main street so would not recommend a unit with bedroom on front side--ours in back so reasonably quiet. Not bad for price, but probably would not return.

I cannot say enough of how great it was. The place is really cute and homey. Because there room I was given an automatic upgrade. I don't even ask. The staff was friendly. It was clean and quiet and upgraded last year. You can walk right across the street to the beach which is just beautiful. You can use everything at all three properties. It is a family owned business which I also liked.my trip was 8-22-12 to 8-25-12. I recommend it and I would stay at the properties again. I am a very happy customer!

Very nice hotel
I have stayed at 2 of the hotels in this family owned and operated chain. The most recent stay at the Bay Palms was perfect for me. The rooms were clean and modern. The bedroom, living room kitchenette and bathroom were very nice. A flatscreen TV in the bedroom and living room were quite convenient. The wifi was free and worked well. The happy hour, every day at four PM is an extra bonus as is free parking. The pool was warm and clean. The place was quiet with a nice clientele. There is no rowdy crowd here. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were very helpful. The hotels are in very close proximity to the beach and in walking distance to good restaurants, a supermarket(if you wish to use the kitchenette provided in your room) and a pharmacy.Great value for the money if you want a simple, clean, nice place.

nice location
Everything was very nice except when I got there, the room I booked through Orbitz, was not available. Lucky for me, the main hotel(The Plaza Resort) upgraded us to a bigger room and didn't charge us for the upgrade. Not sure what happened. I am just glad there was a room for us.

Unbeatable location for the price
We picked up our granddaughters at the Orlando Airport and drove to Bay Palms Resort for three days at the beach. It was wonderful. It was very quiet on the bay side, yet within easy walking distance of the beach, pool was small but we had it to ourselves.

Affordable Beach getaway.
We booked at Bay Palms Waterfront resort. When we arrived, I was told we had been upgraded to the beach and was moved to Plaza Beach Resort just done the street. I was told we had a 1 bedroom suite with a view. Our view consisted of the parking lot on one side and another hotel in the back. We could not see the gulf. If fact there are only 4 of 35 rooms that face the ocean.[...] They need to replace the beds. The couch bed would not do well for an adult. OK for very small children. The room was very clean and spacious. We traveled with 6 people and had plenty of room. Cleaning crew was slow and did not arrive to our room until after 2 pm. Front desk had trouble keeping up with the beach towels needed for their guest. We could not get any for a full day. They kept telling us they were in the wash. Take your own towels to be safe.Overall, for the price, I would stay there again. Once you walk the length of the hotel, you were on the beach. It was very breathtaking to watch the sunset every evening. My children had a great time playing in the beach, ocean and swimming pool. Remember, when on St. Pete Beach, don't forget to eat at Crabby Bills. Great seafood right on the beach.

Don't miss out on John's Pass. Very open aired shopping plaza on the bay. Unique beach items and we even picked up some Hermit Crabs for the kids at one of the shops. Has dining/bars for further enjoyment.

Very Pleased
The hotel staff were all very friendly. We checked out in the morning, but our flight did not leave til the afternoon. They allowed us to leave our bags in the front office and offered us the use of staff restrooms. Rooms were nice, but not very quiet. The beds were very squeaky and we were woken every morning to the extremely loud sound of water running when the guests above us showered. Other than that, we were pleased with the hotel.

Great place to stay, small resort, with two other nearby facilities by the same resorts, one directly on the beach, which can be used if you are registered at any one of the three. Rooms are spacious, clean and decorated for the location. Have stayed in Indian Rocks most visit, but will definetly stay here again.

The Little Big Room in St. Pete
We discovered the sweetest little place to stay in St. Pete...right on Gulf Blvd. Other than terrible parking situation (but you don't have to pay extra for parking like all the other resorts)we felt that we had the best of all. We were on the canal on one side and across the street from the beach on the other side. Our room was actually a tiny apartment. We had a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Everything was very clean and just cute! Outside on the canal we could watch the dolphins in the morning. We watched fisherman bringing in all sorts of bounty... AND, we enjoyed watching the pelicans do their thing. Traffic in that area is an obstacle, but we made it. Be prepared for lots of trips through toll booths (usually 50 cents) You would really enjoy this little place in the middle of the huge St Pete Beach neighborhood.
