My review of Ramada Historic Downtown St. Augustine

Ramada Historic Downtown St. Augustine, St Augustine, Florida was a disgusting dump. The room was dirty, the bathroom floor had mud marks on it, and one of the towels had make-up smeared on it and had obviously not been changed from the previous occupant. I complained and nothing was done about it. And as is customary in most motels in the U.S. these days I at least expected some sort of free buffet breakfast -- at least an apple, coffee and some kind of rolls -- but there was nothing. This was a truly vile experience.

family friendly

The hotel checkin was terrific/pool was great. the hotel just seem in need of repair and maintenance. The air conditioning units created a lot of condensation and dropped from upper floors to lower. lobby was nice. needs paint and pressure washing.

Room cleanliness

The hotel is understaffed at the front desk. The attendant had quite an accent and difficult to understand and she was short with her answers and not very informative. The carpeting in the room was very dirty. My dog's rug was very filthy after a few hours there and my feet were dirty a few minutes after we arrived. The bedding was comfortable, but I wondered how clean everything was after the rug incident.

Accomodating !

Ramada in St. Augustine was very accomodating when requested a refrigerator and microwave. They took the effort to put both in a room that doesn't usually have one.

Great Location

The Ramada in historic downtown St Augustine was just right. It was well within walking distance of many of the tourist sights and a 10 minute drive to the beach. For the location I felt that it was well priced. It was clean and comfortable.

My review of Ramada Historic Downtown St. Augustine

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself seemed in need of a face lift. I didn't use the pool because of inclimate weather but it seemed clean and well maintained. Good location for visiting downtown and the Beach.

Had Everything We Needed

This hotel allowed Pets and provided everything we asked for ( extra towels, Crib, late check out). It was clean and the staff was friendly. The location was good for what we wanted to see in St. Augustine and we could drive to the beach in 10 mins. I would recommend this Hotel!
