Budget St. Augustine hotel with pool a short walk to history and shops

Not the best hotel
Wifi was sometime not working. Room smelled bad. Forthat price are better hotels available in St. Augustine.

Dayn Inn Historic
Nothing at all to recommend, dingy room, air conditioner cover was on floor, Wi-Fi was horrible. Bathroom dirty, grimmy, no complementary breakfast, in short for the amount of money was bad.

Never again
Rooms are tiny, tiny. One cup coffee maker, tiny microwave and only pluses are the pillows and location. Not handicap or senior friendly. No handbars in bathroom and ice machine up a flight of stairs. Will find a better place next visit and that won't be hard to do.

Staff very helpful and polite.
First room placed, had bedbugs under mattress tag. The staff quickly responded to my concern and placed us in a new room. After checking over new room and mattress, no pests were found. Room had a working Air condition unit, working refrigerator and microwave, also had plenty of towels and appeared clean. It was accomendating... but, still had uneasiness while in room due to the discovery of bedbugs in the previous room.

St Augustine stay
WILL GET YOU BY, BUT BY NO MEANS NICE
Old with newer paint. Has a Denny's that is old. Needs major remodeling, restaurant and rooms. A/c didn’t work; they replaced the unit within the first hour. TV had no picture, replaced it with another old TV. Just old. Beds are not comfortable at all. Two full size that are very old. Location was closed to historical downtown, but still had to drive.

The Gibson Family
Good value for a family getaway
This Days Inn was older and lacked some of the comforts that you would expect from a newer hotel. The room was clean with convenient parking close by. Having Denny's attached to the hotel was a big plus. Their breakfasts were awesome!

The segway tours with Cary Coleman from St. Augustine's Historical Tours was awesome. They were great fun and easy to manage.

Great mini vacation
About 1/2 mile from historic center but only two blocks to old jail,trolley station, fountain of youth. Great price for clean updated rooms but don't expect luxury. Dinner at casa Monica was very nice but pricey. Must go up light house. Pet friendly but find out details first.

Basic Accommodations
This hotel says it's "historic downtown" but I felt that it was just a bit far away from the historic area. It is still within easy walking distance of some restaurants, attractions and antique shops, just not the main historic area of town, unless you like a really long walk. For the money though, it was definitely an alright location.

Disappointment
they should change the bed, it was very uncomfortable and very small for a couple, the carpet didn't smell good. I'm very disappointed.
