touring St. Augustine
The positives were that the hotel provided breakfast each morning, which we appreciated. Most of the staff were Hungarian immigrants and very friendly. Coffee & cookies were always available. Very good Mexican restaurant across the street. The negatives are that you need car to drive to town or beach. No microwave or refrigerator in room - apparently, you pay extra for these 'amenities'. Pool and hot tub outside but hot tub not really heated and should be. Disappointing that we couldn't get Comfort Inn member points because we booked on this website - there should be a crossover with this!

We spent one night with our family in 3 rooms at this Country Inn & Suites just outside the old town of St. Augustine. We wanted to be near the Nights of Lights, & this site was reasonably priced &accessible. However it was not without problems. One room had a filthy bedspread; yet when this was pointed out to staff the room was immediately upgraded to a suite. On the other hand the TVs are all older models--not one flat screen anywhere to be seen. The food was very good, and staff was attentive. Decor was a bit outdated. We've stayed in much better CI&S.

Affordable, well-located place for a family to stay while enjoying one of Florida's best-kept secret
We had a long drive from New York to Fort Lauderdale, so we decided to detour to a couple of beaches to break the trip up. The hotel was easy to find and cozy. Our only complaint was that the smell of the air conditioner was a little musty. But the room was clean and quite comfortable. The desk clerk recommended visiting Vilano Beach, which was perfect. It was as if we had our own private beach. Hardly anyone was there, so it was quiet. It was one of the prettiest beaches we'd ever been to. Our children searched for shells, which were plentiful at Vilano. The water was warm. Afterward, we went back to the hotel. The clerk also recommended the Mexican restaurant across the street. It was nice not to have to drive. She was right about the restaurant too - delicious. One of the best Mexican dinners we'd ever had. After that, we rested in our hotel room. The beds were very comfortable. The free breakfast and free internet were a plus. The breakfast wasn't incredible, but it wasn't terrible. The waffles were gluey (having just had them at a different hotel the day before, we had a high standard). But there were other choices, like cereal, bagels, and oatmeal, that were totally sufficient. Overall, it was exactly what we'd wanted - inexpensive and clean, yet comfortable. We'd definitely stay there again.

The Mexican restaurant across the street is authentic. Don't miss it! The food was inexpensive yet delicious. (Watch out if you try the Sangria, though! It's strong!)

Birthday getaway
We went to St. Augustine for several days as part of a birthday getaway, and we couldn't have been happier with the location of the hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, the continental breakfast was great...definitely got our money's worth. The rooms were nothing extravagant, but they suited our needs fine - we didn't spend much time in the hotel because we were always out enjoying the city. We would definitely stay here again.

Two Day Getaway
Room was located on first floor with room windows opened to parking lot. There were no sheer curtains on windows so if the primary curtain was opened passer byers could look directly into your room. This was uncomfortable if you wanted to relax in the room with filtered natural light. With curtains closed the room was totally black. Room did not have a refigereator nor microwave as I was lead to believe. I was informed by hotel staff that I had secured a standard room though the third party vendor and standard rooms were not configured with those devices. Only staying two nights -- we survived. The price through Orbitz was the reward.

great location for the hotel, rooms were comfy and clean. hot tub was not very hot which was disappointing because that was one of the main reasons why I had booked the hotel. water in bathroom took forever to heat up but was nice and hot after. hot breakfast was also great and a nice variety.

Near St. Augustine
This hotel is close to town and near the Trolley stops. It is a fairly good value for a visitor that does not care about a classy place to stay. In the room, the bed was comfortable.& the A/C was very good! However the furniture needs an upgrade- dresser was out of the 70's with alot of marks and scratches. Ceiling needed to be repainted. The coffee pot was dirty. The remote to the tv worked, sometimes. Downstairs, the breakfast was good, & the "business center" had a computer that guests could use. The fitness room had two treadmills and a stair step machine. We were there to be close to the city, and this hotel was fine for that purpose.

Terrible service
The room was fine but the staff was AWFUL. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at a hotel. Very rude staff, and they were extremely stingy with extra towels and so forth. I DO NOT recommend this hotel.

One of the ghost tours that we went on was very boring. Not scary at all, it was a rated G version of what I was expecting.
