Alhambra Inn

Hotel advertises large outdoor pool, and on site restaurant. AFTER CHECK IN we were told there is no pool or restaurant, we were not given a refund but decided to stay somewhere else.

I don't know where to start, bugs flew out of the sink drain when I turned on the water. The bathtub faucet spit out a burst of brown guck when turned on. Hair in the sheets and on pillows, I am sure the sheets were not laundered after the previous guest. Cigarette burns in the sheets. It was absolutely filthy gross. I wouldn't believe a review like this could be true. only positive comment is toilet paper was provided. I wish I had just slept in the car. If you don't mind staying in a place like this, there are plenty of dumps for $39 a night, we paid $64

Upon check in we are greeted by an employee that clearly does not want to be wheer she is then we are greeted by another patron demanding her money back that had only been checked in for a few minutes. Then and only then the employee tells us there is no television and has not been for a few weeks. The parking lot is cluttered with buliding debris and homeless walking through. Needless to say, we left and went about 5 miles down the road and checked into a nicer more clean and friendlier place.

New Year’s Eve 2011, First room, after taking a cold shower we pulled down the sheets ready for bed, bedbugs crawling on sheets. Went to front desk requested to be moved to a different room. She showed us 2 different rooms AWFUL smells, as if people lived there without taking shower for weeks and going bathroom in the same place. It is now 11:30 pm about 2 hours after we have arrived there. So we left the room in search of a better place, as we walked out noticed a lot of suspicious men rolling a “joint” and walking around our car, we quickly got into the car and drove away. We finally found a much better place for almost the same price. went back to the hotel took all our bags and they wanted to charge us for one night, she said I saw 3 rooms and moved the sheets, so she can’t rent them anymore and have to charge me. I told her you go ahead and I will take that up with my credit card company. The place we ended up staying La Quinta best place ever, so clean, nice people, good breakfast and excellent hot water and rooms. Alhambra Inn & Suite in Saint Augustine, FL Horrible place and is an awful hotel, something right out of a horror movie. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY ONE, NOT EVEN MY ENEMIES…..

We did not see anyone else there, but for a one night stay it was nice. The staff is very nice and anything we asked they were very fast in helping.

The room looked nothing like the virtual tour on the web site. The drapes would not close completely and there wasn't a coffee maker or iron in the room as stated on my reservation confirmation.

great location, but need to keep neighborhood teenagers for having sex in the pool. Thank goodness for the waiter at IHOP who noticed they lived down the road and not part of the hotel guest. Desk clerk was nice and polite to get them out of the pool

Decorated in the 70's, on a busy US 1, but very close to Old Town, this stay was comfortable enough and the rooms clean, just adequate for a get a way weekend and certainly not expensive.
