Quiet and casual intimate Sanibel resort
The Westwind Inn is a laidback beachfront resort for guests who enjoy glorious sunsets and some of the world’s best shelling, but not the hubbub of giant resorts. A great place to stay.
Our daughter's wedding on Captiva was the highlight of our stay, but we really appreciated the quiet and serene setting as a welcome retreat. The staff was so friendly and were always eager to satisfy our requests. The restaurant was wonderful and the beach was terrific. We had a memorable stay and hope to return again.

The room was very small. A table would have been nice to have. The bath rm door opened inward problem was anyone in bathrm got hit by it. ( No rm. ) Room was clean, bed was comfy.

Shell feast was shellsational! It was our first time and it was amazing. The displays were super and we learnt a lot too. Shelling at the beach was super too.

Wild about Sanibel
Fabulous Place!
This place was everything I hoped for and more. Quiet, clean, immediate beach access, friendly staff. Screened porches were fabulous. We'll definitely come back here!

Island Cow was fabulous for both lunch and breakfast. Great White delivered pizza to our hotel room which was also great.

Nice place for two to stay in Sanibel
The room was quite small, as well as the bathroom, but it was adequate for a couple. I would not bring my children to share this room. Pool facility was nice and clean, as well as the grounds. Short walk to the beach and very convenient from our room on the ground floor. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. This was not a "luxury resort" but very nice for an old property. We would consider coming back.

Nice Resort
We had a very good experience at the Westwind Inn. While the hotel is older, it was very clean. Our room was great, looking out to the ocean and the pool. We hope to return there again for another vacation.

Our two favorite meals were at the Matzaluna Restaurant and Doc Ford's which were just a short distance from the hotel.

Gorgeous Getaway Location
The hotel's website pictures were pretty accurate, the room was slightly smaller than appearance. All other accommodations I was looking for were great. )DVD player, mini microw & refrige. The weather was ideal, breath taking sunset and beach had a variety of seashells. My visit was short only one day, but I will plan longer another time. Only disappointment, the sheets did not fit bed and mattress was uncomformtably soft. Rating 85-90.

Good getaway, good $
Very nice hotel, rooms were great, staff was friendly but they did botch my check out date (was resolved with apologies). No breakfast provided but there's multiple spots on the island that are excellent and for a good price. They don't advertise free wi-fi but the hotel pool bar has it and you could easily access it in your room.

Seems a perfect place to bring a young family
Most enjoyable for my wife and I. If the weather had cooperated our stay would have been perfect. We had 2 days of rain but fortunately for her Sanibel has many nice shops.
