the waterside inn is great place for those who want to just hang out at the beach and relax.the accomadations were clean,modern and very comfortable.access to the beach is literally seconds away.stores and restaurants are plentiful and mere minutes away.my wife and i cant wait to come back and we will tell our friends how good it was!

Love sanibel fl
Great hotel.
Clean, comfortable & quiet. Great location just steps from the beach. Amazing shelling. Staff was friendly, helpful and professional. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Can't wait to go back..
We arrived late and they left the key with directions to our room just as they said they would. We had a Gulf Front room that had a full kitchen. Very clean and well equipped. The beach was right outside our door that was amazing. We live in Miami so it wasn't a far drive and the beach was so clean! They have lounge chairs to bring on the beach as well as onsite bike rentals. We had a great relaxing time and can't wait to go back!

The Timbers had just caught fish on the menu- everything we ordered was excellent. Call ahead 30 min before for seating as they get busy and do not take reservations. Fish market on site.

Pleasantly Surprised!
My boyfriend and I stayed for a long weekend and we were really pleasantly surprised at this place. We spent the extra $$ and got a room with a gulf view and it was worth it! The landscaping at the Inn was really nice. The room had a huge window so we would sit in the cool air and it felt like we were on the beach. Sitting at the window on our last day we saw dolphins jumping in the gulf! The staff was really nice and amenities were great, the room's kitchen was stocked with everything a kitchen needed.

Pluses +++ and Minuses ---
The things that I liked about this hotel were its location and the lack of noise. We felt that we were central enough to go anywhere on the 2 islands and yet we had a beach about 50 steps away. It was great! We had a window unit air conditioner which was fine with us and it was very quiet. Loved having a balcony. Housekeeping was prompt but not thorough. Our floor was not vacuumed every day, sheets not changed, however, we did have clean towels each day. Internet connection was non-existent despite management's efforts. Went to Sanibel Bean to use the internet on the last day. Bottom line, people there are friendly, location is great, housekeeping needs improvement, and there was no internet for us on the property even though the staff tried to help us and we tried various locations. I might go there again if the price was right, but not at full price.

Bowman's Beach was best for shelling. Go one hour before low tide. Tide tables are printed in the little promotional booklets that are free all over the island or in the Waterside Inn office.

Beaurtiful Location-No unruly children
We loved our stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Joyce the manager was as wonderful as the sunsets!

Nice for the price
Nice location right on beautiful beach. Refrigerator and microwave were useful. Grounds are lovely. A nice motel, a bit dated but not at all luxurious. The views are sideways to the water so you only see the water if you walk to the window or sit on the balcony.
