    Good getaway

Our room had tile floors which were hard to keep the sand up. Kitchen met our needs. Pool and beach area were great.

    Great Anniversary

I surprised my wife for our anniversary and we had a wonderful time at the resort. Jim and Jason at the tiki bar were amazing! All the staff were friendly and accommodating. The only issue we had was with the restaurant manager. I ordered some anniversary specials for the room. I ordered them in person with him and they never showed up. The only downfall for a great stay. I would stay again and make my own anniversary treats.

    Excellent quiet sty

We had a great vacation and loved our very large room. Housekeeping could have been better but they brought me everything I wanted immediately. Absolutely no activities in the evenings while we were there. But made for a quiet family, relaxing retreat.

Great location, but not a spectacular place

Beach access was fantastic, tons of seashells if you like to collect them. (However, sooooo many that parts of the beach had to be avoided because it hurt to walk on them!) The hotel rate was extremely pricey given that we were in a parking lot location where our patio looked directly at the side of the next building. The room didn't have an iron or ironing board (but it did have a holder for one on the wall), and the bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan, which is really odd in such a hot, humid location. It's an older hotel, but it was pretty clean, and having a kitchenette suite was a bonus. The food was great and service was prompt but not "above and beyond". It was a bit insulting that I had to pay for a bottle of water after asking about some of the hotel concerns I had. Water is not provided in the rooms. This was my first trip to Sanibel, so I'm not sure how this resort compares to others in the area.

    Wonderful Trip

We had a wonderful time in Sanibel. The location of the resort is great because you are right on the beach, and can bike to other parts of the island. The bike rental is included in your stay, and I would recommend biking to the lighthouse. We were also able to get to Captiva easily. Our room was nice and clean. I would go back to the Sundial next time we were there (as long as we do not have our pup).

Overall my family and I had a great experience. Would defenitly return especially after renovations are done. Only thing we would have liked if the bike rentals would stay open a bit longer especially on Saturday. They close at 5pm and the sun dosent go down til after 7pm. We would have enjoyed renting bikes later in afternoon. Other than that everything else was perfect we loved the room it was very comfortable.

    Great potential

Beautiful beach and great pools. The condo we rented was amazing and very clean. The resort itself is under renovation which was not advertised when we booked it. The resort complex needs significant updating and repair. Also there was only one place to eat and drink because of the renovation. The pool and beach are redeeming. Only one waitress (Francesca) and the cleaning staff were polite and friendly. The registration desk staff and bartenders were less than helpful and not friendly at all. Overall, our stay was nice but much lower class than we are used to. Would return if all renovation and improvements are made just based on the beach alone!
