Deluxe beach resort offers great value for family vacations
Holiday Inn gives guests a lot for their money at this intimate beachfront resort, without the resort fees. Comfortable rooms are well appointed for vacationers who are minding their wallet with free beach chairs, tennis, Internet and a beachfront pool lending extra bang for the buck at the Holiday Inn Sanibel Island.

great beach weekend
We were very pleased with this hotel. I do think they could do more with the food selection and that they could add a small breakfast for the residents as most hotels do. Getting a quick breakfast so you could make the sunrise was impossible. The coffee in the room was not very good either. However providing beach chairs was a great plus.

Fantastic Place to Stay!
This hotel was immaculately clean, beds cozy, staff pleasant and helpful. Location great. this was one of the nicest vacations I have had. I saw several online reviews that complained that the bathrooms were small. We did not find this to be the case. Large double sink grooming area, great hot showers, lots of towels, no complaints. This hotel is beautifully landscaped, freshly painted, modern and all Florida. The restaurant food left a bit to be desired and the lobby coffee was dishwater, but there are tons of great cheap restaurants minutes away. Will return again and again. Short walk to the beach, chairs and towels provided free. Highly recommend this hotel!

Island Cow was amazing, on Periwinkle Road, and the Easy Over Cafe, breakfast all day was terrific too! Both have good prices, real home cooked food, huge menus, guaranteed to please.

Relaxing, Great Dining, Wonderful Beach Experience
We have visited Sanibel many times before and as always our vacations including this one have always been great. I would recommend Hotel and Dining for anyone wanting a quick getaway for relaxation and escape from busy everyday routine. Only regret is that we could not stay longer.

Some inexperience at front desk led to confusion regarding repeatadly requested room type and location. Situation resolved at last minute, BUT definately a moment of truth. Housekeepeing and location make for a good stay.

Great getaway
This was our fourth year staying at this hotel. The staff is very accommodating and happy to assist with any problems that may arise. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone that wants to visit Sanibel.

Great stay!
A/C in the room was the only complaint, but it did finally keep it comfortable and it was the hottest part of the summer. Overall, great location and pleasant staff!

We were rudely greeted at "She Sells Sea Shells" gift shop with the clerk telling us that they were closing in 15 minutes. We had called to check their closing time 30 minutes prior, I guess she wanted to close 45 minutes early.

Awful Experience
Firstly, I could not understand the woman at the front desk at check in. While we attempted to check in early, she made no effort to find a room despite it being the onset of tropical storm debby. Then, when placed in a handicap room, I called the front desk around ten pm to inform them of a shower that would not drain, and a leaky shower head - for which I did not request maintenance, but was informing them for the next guest. At 8:20 am, there was a knock on the door, and it was opened as the man announced that he was maintenance - While my boyfriend and I were sleeping. Alarmed, we asked him to leave immediately - he claimed to have the wrong room despite our do not disturb sign. We left the hotel immediately.
