Budget Inn Sanford

Last night of our Florida trip, we checked into our room around 5PM, no problems with the reservation; showed ID and were issued room keys and location of our room, and asked if we needed a wakeup call...they must be accustomed to early flights!! The room was clean, the bed fresh and comfortable. The towels have seen better days, but were clean. The wake up call came on time, coffee was on in the lobby and we got to our flight without a hitch!

I was just looking for a quiet place to sleep for a morning flight out - close to the airport and all that. All the stuff in the room was ancient - like from WWII. Close racks were rusty; walls painted so many times they looked like an old ship. But, the room was fairly clean and the A/C worked. 10:00pm. Window drapes never work, so I put on an eye mask and turned in. At about 11:00, the noise started. Kids running around outside playing ball. The doors to the rooms on both sides opened and people went in and out. TV blasting. The walls are paper thin. 12:00 couldn't stand it. Put in earplugs. (You know how well those work.) Got up the next morning. Walking to the car I caught a big puff of smoke in the parking lot. I thought it was a car fire. Nope. Two young adults had just opened the doors of their car and the smoke came out. They both stumbled out of the car, staggered to the grass and threw up. So, while it may be convenient by being close to the airport, let's just say, you need to be ready for a "tough" area.

i had a wonderful time there.the room was nice and clean.the pool was great and i was so surprised to see a lake and dock there. the staff was helpful and very nice to us. i am booking my next stay in sanford, there.this time im bringing the whole family.

PICKED THIS HOTEL CAUSE IT WAS CLOSE TO AIRPORT FOR EARLY FLIGHT. ROOM SMELLED LIKE SMOKE.NOTHING LIKE PICTURE.DIRTY.DIDN'T FEEL SAFE OR COMFORTABLE STAYING HERE WITH MY FAMILY EVEN FOR THE PRICE.LEFT WITH 45 MINUTES AND WENT AND FOUND DIFFERENT HOTEL [...]

Nothing fancy, nice staff, close to the airport.

Stayed there overnight for a morning Wedding in the area. The place could use a bit of a remodel or upgrade. Everything was pretty dated and somewhat faded. The linens on the bed though they might have been clean had old spots and/or stains that made one have second thoughts. All in all we just slept for a few hours and then took showers before the wedding, so on that note it was perfect. 6minutes or less from our venue, the heater works so well that I woke up to go remove some of my layers, while outside was in the low 30degree temps. It suited its purpose well in the most important regards: shelter, safety, hygiene, rest/sleep and warmth/

Night manager was very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. I would stay again

It was obivious that this hotel has needed a lot of repairs for a long time. For example, the bathroom door had so much water damage that it was split over a foot up. The desk people were friendly and helpful. Not an upscale hotel, but it served the purpose.

No one really monitors the pool area so we didnt really enjoy the pool that much because of the rowdy behavior from other guests. The bathroom tube didnt drain the water very well which by the time you were done showering the water was up to your ankles. The bath tub use was not an option because the cover to the drain didnt want to stay close. The door of the bathroom was rooted all the way around and the shower curtain looked like it was NEVER washed. The front desk didnt have tooth paste. The rooms didnt have any information about the hotel for example what time is checkout, local areas that would deliver to the hotel, other normal information of vendors near the hotel. There was no TV guide listing of the channels. No little toiletries that are normally put when guests first come into the room.

The afternoon staff was friendly. We had an issue with a TV remote not being set up for the TV. They handed us the directions to program it for the SONY and we were set. It isn't that far from the Daytona track and it was much less expensive then staying nearer the track. We think it's so unfair for the hotels to jack their prices just because an event is in town...hence we stay further out.
