Just OK
The resort was very nice. However, after a shower, walking accross the floor, my feet very dirty from the tile floor. Not serious, but certainly not expected.

What a great surprise!
Imagine our surprise, when my husband and I followed a google map from our vacation rental in Madeira Beach, over the fantastic Sunshine Bridge, up Interstate 95, to College Street, a short jaunt up Highway 41, then down a non-descript country road past Florida bush, a few cottage homes with very little traffic. We actually thought we must be lost or going to a rustic campground. Then we happened upon the Little Harbour sign which gave us some hope that it truly was a resort up ahead and Wow, was it ever! Definitely a world class resort and busy! The guests, locals and employees were of all ages, all smiling and friendly. There was music, good food, plenty of beverages and a party atmosphere. We spoke to some locals who said they make Little Harbour their fun destination regularly. We felt welcome and included by staff and strangers alike. The beautiful amenities and stunning sunsets were an added bonus. We will highly recommend Little Harbour Resort to family and friends and intend to vacation there again now that we know this gem of a vacation destination exists.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
At Resort at Little Harbour, you are a short drive to fabulous shopping: Elenton Outlet Mall just off the Sunshine Skyway Bridge before you access Interstate 75 north, and upscale shopping at St. Armands' Circle on Longboat Key in Sarasota-about 45 minutes away. Also in Sarasota is the Van Wezel Hall for the performing arts for live entertainment for all tastes.

Nice place to stay
This is a really nice resort to stay at. It has 3 nice pools and has the most beautiful sunsets. Be sure if you actaully want a separate living area you get a suite and not a junior suite. I thought suite implied a separate living area but it does not- the junior suite had the kitchen stuff in the same living area. But since we are not in the room much it didn't really matter. If you are looking for stuff to do this area doesn't have much but a nice quiet area for a relaxing vacation.

Beautiful Resort
We were suprised by the Resort after traveling through a unkept lower income area. The resort was beautiful. We were given an upgrade on our room from Standard water view to a King suite. I suite was great, very clean, with very good maid service. We had a problem with the fact that we were not given information about the resort when we arrived so we didn't know what was on Resort grounds. It took us our intire stay to find things by surprise. The resort had only one restraunt for all meals that you didn't want to go far to eat. It was not bad but nothing great. You had to drive to see things. Ruskins does have a Crabbing Adventure which I loved. Capt'n Gus's Crabby Adventure. All in All I would recomend this place for a quite peaceful Vacation.

Hoping for a Beautiful Beach Resort
The Resort and Club at Little Harbor
We stayed in one of their Harborside Studios. The room was nice and clean, exactly as pictured on their website. However, this "resort" is located in the middle of nowhere or should I say in the middle of an industrial area. And the beach looks like something they've trucked in. We were very disappointed with the location.

Nice weekend getaway
We came here thinking that we would be close to Sarasota but found ourselves out in the middle of nowhere. It ended up being a nice surprise though as this resort had everything we needed...tennis courts, private beach, firepit and laawnchairs to watch the sunset and plenty of tv channels. There was a long wait at the restaurant but we didn't mind because we could get drinks and walk on the beach outside.

so so
The pictures are a little misleading. The condos appear as pictured on the outside, however, the Inn is not as nice either outside or in as the condos appear. Overall, the location was pleasant. Next time we'll probably stay closer to Sarasota though. The good: the larger pool and hottub were nice; the location with both the bay and backwater views were good; lots of room for walking the grounds; a restaurant and bar onsite with lots of fun activity over the weekend; clean, nice beach and beach staff were very helpful (definitely their best staff is the beach staff); beach chairs, tables, umbrellas available and in fine condition; long dock/pier with views of stingrays; spots to sit on the sand and off, and felt safe and secure moving around the vast grounds. The less appealing: The Inn is definitely the part of the Resort that is less maintained; the room is small, the bathroom even smaller; pool door locks not maintained; the smaller pool was not cleaned while we were there but not overly dirty either (more the idea of unclean than appearance); the only amenitity was coffee (not always full, fresh fruit or pastries a couple times per week and a little general store for basic groceries and personals, magazines, etc. would be appreciated); wait staff and food was slow at dinner meals, no signage about possible snakes in rocks (heard about snakes but did not see any), and again overall maintenace, i.e., loose pieces of landscaping fabric, and a closed playground that is in need of repair (thankfully we did not have little ones or this would have been a strong negative); nothing I couldn't live but shows lack of care. We were able to be outside as much as we wanted--beautiful weather. The ac worked fine but I am glad we weren't stuck in the room...
