Punta Gorda Waterfront Inn

We had a great experience at the hotel this past weekend, we stayed there last May for graduation, another trip back for another graduation this year and we knew we wanted to stay there because of the relaxed atmosphere we enjoyed in 2012, It was so nice again sitting out watching the boats and activity on the water and this year the Hisbiscus Festival was an extrà treat. All the grandchildren have graduated now and we can't look forward to it next year. Maybe a wedding in the future will get us back down for a visit.

The Punta Gorda Waterfront Inn was so centrally located that we were able to walk to all the restaurants and boutiques we wanted to visit. Another plus for us was that they accepted pets. We would never travel without ours. The room was a nice size and pretty comfortable. There was one area that was definitely not comfortable. My husband and I thought the bed was the most uncomfortable we had ever experienced. It was SO soft and every movement was felt on each side. There was no infromation in the room concerning particulars such as hours, how to access wi-fi, what ammenities were offered, restaurant options, etc. The price was reasonable and it was better than the hotel we had stayed at in Cape Coral for about the same price. Considering everything, we would be willing to stay there again

The location is perfect! it is in the historic area and next to a lovely park with a walkway to the waterfront and Fishermans Village but the hotel needs work as it is old, smells musty and is really in need of some TLC. The staff was great and went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast was complimentary And even included such items as eggs, bacon and waffles. We did hear talk that a large hotel chain is looking to purchase this hotel and hope this happens as the location is AMAZING!!!

This Hotel is in the midst of a complete remodeling.To rate it as a 3star Hotel, in its present state, is a real stretch.The staff though was very nice.

This hotel is located in the perfect place with a great water view. We stayed here while watching the TampaBay Rays spring training games in nearby Port Charlotte. The hotel is clean, quiet, and has a great free breakfast each morning. Also has access to computers which was very helpful. We recommend the Mexican restaurant within walking distance or Fisherman's Village which is a 3 minute drive. We stay here every year during Spring Training because the hotel is clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful location.

This hotel is undergoing a renovation. It is very dark and needs some bright colors to bring it back to life. The room wa OK and the complimentary breakfast was too. We stayed here as we got into the Punta Gorda airport rather late and it was a short drive from there.

Excellent breakfast selection with bacon, eggs, waffles, fruit, yogurt, etc. The room size was also good. Had two working sinks in two seperate areas which made getting ready in the morning nice.

only one ice machine that worked,,no towels in roomwhen we arrrived and had to wait for towels on the second day. we had a very nice view and the hotelis located in a great area.

This hotel was supposed to be a Best Western. It was NOT. It was sold a year ago last December. It was under renovation. There was yellow caution tape all around. There were orange construction fences to keep you away from the area under construction. The parking lot was full of dumpsters and construction trucks and other equipment. I had to stay in the section that was not renovated yet. The halls were dark and dirty. There was dust and dirt everywhere. The rooms were sparce. The sheets were warn thin and so were the towels. The rugs were warn to the piont of having holes in them.The hallway was dark and dreary. The supposedly outdoor security door that was next to my door was broken. You were supposed to use your room key to get in after 7:00 P.M. THE DOOR DIDN'T EVEN SHUT LET ALONE LOCK. I am a 70 year old woman traveling alone. How safe do you think I felt? I put a chair up against the door at night in addition to the CHAIN LOCK. It didn't even have a dead bolt. If I would have driven up to this hotel, I never would have stayed there. Unfortunately, I had already paid for the room for two nights. I would have asked them for my money back but they didn't have it, you did. How often do you have someone check out the hotels on your web site? This was diffinately misrepresentation on your part. The pictures on the internet must have been very old. Yes it was on the water but you couldn't get there because of the yellow caution tape, the orange construstion fences and the piles of dirt. I don't want a discount on my next booking, I feel I deserve a refund because of the misrepresentation on your web site. As i said, at 70 years old and traveling alone I was really scared at this location. I would have left but money dosen't grow on trees and I had already paid. Thank God I surrived. Had I known the circumstances of the hotel before I booked, I never would have. You don't even give a direct phone number to the hotel so a person can call and get up to date information.
