Tropical South Florida hotel with a lovable tiki bar
The palm tree-lined beach sets a blissful scene at the Beachcomber Resort & Villas, a Pompano Beach hotel where two large outdoor pools are the center of the action. When beachgoers are finished playing volleyball or shuffleboard, they flock to the casual tiki bar or back to their rooms, luxurious and intimate with Floridian furniture and curved balconies. All rooms are non-smoking and include free Wi-Fi, and guests enjoy complimentary passes to a nearby gym, which is within driving distance.

- With 1 queen bed, this economy priced room is smaller than our typical standard room. - We have a 1066 square foot meeting room that can be divided into 2 rooms. The combined space can accommodate meetings of up to 100 persons seated theater style or 60 persons for a seated meal funtion. We also can hold weddings on our beach and have a large outside courtyard for catered events that can seat 250 persons and can be tented.

For lunch and dinner we offer an all day dining menu featuring American fare; enjoy appitizers like conch fritters, smoked fish dip & chicken wings. We also make our own hand tossed pizza, freshly prepare salads, burgers, sandwiches and wraps and we offer nightly dinner specials. Full liquor bar service is available.
- Outside Patio Dining Area
- We'll gladly serve your favorite drinks and/or anything featured the Ocean Grill's all day dining menu outside at our poolside patio dining area. We will also serve you while you lounge on our beach; just press the button on the Beach Butler that is strapped to your beach chaise lounge and one of our servers will come to place and deliver your order.

- We will deliver anything you want from the menu we feature at the Ocean Grill to your room during the Ocean Grill's normal hours of operation.

Great hotel, wonderful location
We stayed at Beachcomber in mid July and had a wonderful vacation. The location of the hotel is excellent. There is private beach access and two swimming pools. Our room was on the 7th floor and we had a great view of the ocean from our balcony. Our only complaints are that the free wifi did not work in our room and they charge $24 per day to rent a cabana on the beach. We have stayed at other places that include cabanas in the room fee and I believe this should also be the case for this venue. Other than that... we loved the Beachcomber and would recommend staying there.

South Dakota Beachlover
Good Value in a Good Location
The hotel staff was absolutely fantastic. The daytime outside bartenders became almost friends they were so wonderful; the concierges always went out of their way to help; and the people at the front desk were also very helpful. The motel itself is a little older and could use some upgrades to the rooms and the elevators, but for the price, I thought the amenities were reasonable. The pool area and beach area were just what I was looking for. And, I can't stress enough how wonderful and helpful the staff was (except for one crabby nighttime bartender who didn't want to move much). I had a great time for a great price, so I was overall very happy with my experience.

Just a $10 taxi ride away, there is a wonderful area close to the water called Aruba's. It's a great place with wonderful food and great live bands. We went back for a second trip it was so enjoyable.

Old but has some nice features
The property is 30 years old, but the public pools and decks are well maintained. The rooms are old and simply ok. It does have a nice pool/beach combination.

Good Beach Getaway
We love the beach so this hotel was good for a nice getaway, Right on the ocean with 2 nice pools was all we needed. Not alot to do in the area but if you just want to relax for a good price this is the place for you.

A little taste of paradise
When we got to the hotel the lobby had a slight mildewy smell. We didn't know what to expect. But the room, on the 5th floor with a beautiful ocean and pool view, was great. We spent a lot of time on the terrace. The pool area had a very tropical feel to it and was very clean, and just a few feet away was the beach. We didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food. The king size platform bed was very comfortable, but my girlfriend likes the room to be ice cold and the a/c couldn't keep up with her needs, although it definitely kept the room cool. The staff was very accommodating and the extra security due to the July 4th crowds never impacted on our good time. The only glitch occurred when we checked out. They asked if I wanted to keep the 'incidentals' on my credit card. We hadn't charged anything at all to the room, and they also told us we made a call from the room. When we complained they quickly removed the charges. So I suggest you review your bill carefully when checking out. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay.

Very Happy Frequent Customer
We found the Beachcomber Hotel about 4 years ago. We have family in the Fort Lauderdale area and every time we come down to Florida we stay at the Beachcomber. We love it so much that we wouldn't even consider trying another hotel. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and we love the layout of the hotel. You walk out the back door and you are right at the pool and the beach. It is really beautiful. We usually stay in the European room which is the perfect size for us and it is extremely clean with really comfortable pillows and a great mattress on the bed. We also love the food at the restaurant and the fact that you can eat lunch right at the pool is great! We would recommend this hotel to anyone coming down to the Fort Lauderdale are.

We got there from the airport and as soon as we walked in we noticed how dirty the floor and kitchen table were and the kitchen drawers would not even open the foot seat were very filthy bathroom very dirty we left that same night will not recommend this hotel at all NOT HAPPY!!!

Nice people needs a few updates
The place was full of friendly people, the price was right and it was right on the beach. It is close to restaurants if you have a car. They do charge you for beach chairs and umbrellas, but that isn't uncommon. Bring Cash! Hardly anyone around there takes credit. The restaurant in the hotel does. The place itself is a little beat up and could use a few updates. But besides that we had a good time.
