Beachcomber Resort and Villas

On the beach - Hotel restaurant food was by the pool and much better then we thought it would be. Very nice. Pool was heated.

A very nice experience. Staff was good but not superb. Very comfortable room.

We wanted to stay on the beach and not have to walk across the street to get there. This was the only affordable option. The rooms are spacious, I love the decor. It is an older hotel, but if you are staying in a hotel like this you probably aren't looking to spend a lot of time in the room. They are fast to respond to needs. The Tiki Bar is fun. The free parking is a must for us also, you can't beat that. This was our second stay here both times ocean view rooms, love that! Our friend stayed in an ocean front room. That was nice as well. Location is great, as well. We can't wait to come back. Hopefully next month with the kids. First time for the kids there, we will post the kids perspective next time. The kids that were there looked like they were having a blast. The food was great. The wings inside the resort at the pool can't be beat, ask about blending sauces.

I can't understand how this place has gotten so many great ratings. I recently stayed here for four nights and was very disappointed by this hotel. PROS: -Staff was really friendly. Everyone was really understanding about any complaints that we had. -There is free parking, and the attendants call you if you leave your lights on late at night -- thank you! -Price was cheaper than most places that I looked up, compared to other similarly rated hotels... Then again, I highly disagree with its rating. It was at 4 stars when I booked it. -Great location with the beach right in the back of the building. We could switch from pool to beach depending on our mood, which was great. CONS: -Some of the staff was maybe a little over-friendly. The pool guys constantly hit on my friend and me. It did get to be a little too much towards the end. -We found red specks all over the back end of the bathtub. I didn't notice at first, but when I went to go clean the bathtub before showering, I was appalled to see little red dots everywhere. My friend and I thought they were bugs at first, but they weren't moving, so we figured we'd just wipe it up and complain about it the next day. The next morning, the red specks were back! We complained at the front desk, and they had someone come clean our room, but a few of the specks came back later on... We never did figure out what it was, but it did eventually go away. It was really weird and kind of freaked me out. -Our blowdryer was broken. The switch was gone, so I had to stick my pinky in there just to turn it on and off. -The TV, and everything for that matter, was really old and outdated. I guess I can't expect too much modernity in this area though. -The towels were clearly very old. The ends were all frayed on most of our towels, and it looked like the towels were taken from other hotels. I had one that was labeled Marriott. I really wish I liked this place better, but I would not stay here again. I think I'd rather pay more and go to a nicer hotel.

We enjoyed 2 delightful evenings at the Beachcomber. The front desk staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was very large and comfortable. The beach location is out of this world and the outdoor ambiance is fabulous, especially with the dining tables with candles on the beach. Free parking!

We had a great time on the beach and in the pool with our grandkids. Very tropical looking and very clean. The restaruant was very good and reasonable. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This was our third stay at Beachcomber and we are planing for more! :) Wonderful to watch both sunrise& sunset from our balcony.We enjoyed walking on the beach and loved our beautifull suntan we've got at this time!!! Love it!!!

staff was very friendly. Location was right on the beach and that was very nice. Rooms a bit plain. Make sure to get at minimum the ocean view. Balcony is nice to just hang out and watch the sunset

Perfect romantic getaway on the beach. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Don't miss the showmanship of Steve, the bartender. Hotel is older, which adds to its charm. Bed was very comfortable. Only complaint was the sheets would not stay on.

The Beachcomber - Unlike any other. First off, the room was great. We had an ocean front room located on the 3rd floor. Great view, clean, and very confortable. Everything worked well and how could you not enjoy waking up with a view of the ocean?! Second, the staff was awesome. From John to Kelly to Judy at the bar, the atmosphere was always fun and inviting. They seemed to make everyone have a good time. Finally, the location can't be beat. Fifty steps from the ocean...what a great time!
