Tropical South Florida hotel with a lovable tiki bar
The palm tree-lined beach sets a blissful scene at the Beachcomber Resort & Villas, a Pompano Beach hotel where two large outdoor pools are the center of the action. When beachgoers are finished playing volleyball or shuffleboard, they flock to the casual tiki bar or back to their rooms, luxurious and intimate with Floridian furniture and curved balconies. All rooms are non-smoking and include free Wi-Fi, and guests enjoy complimentary passes to a nearby gym, which is within driving distance.
Beachcomber Resort & Villas Rooms
- European Room
- With 1 queen bed, this economy priced room is smaller than our typical standard room. Free high speed wireless internet access, complimentary coffee maker and coffee, in-room safe, cable TV, pay per view movies, alarm clock/radio, voice mail, hair dryer, iron/board. Cozy no balcony and not water view. All rooms are non smoking.
- Ocean View room - 1 king bed
- With 1 king bed; located in the main hotel tower, with large semi private balcony, spectacular oceanview that also overlooks our main pool area, free high speed wireless access, microwave and mini refrigerator, coffee maker with complimentary coffee, safe, hairdryer, cable TV, pay per view movies, alarm clock/radio, voice mail, iron and board. All rooms are non smoking.
- Oceanfront Room - 2 double beds

- We have a 1066 square foot meeting room that can be divided into 2 rooms. The combined space can accommodate meetings of up to 100 persons seated theater style or 60 persons for a seated meal funtion. We also can hold weddings on our beach and have a large outside courtyard for catered events that can seat 250 persons and can be tented.

- Ocean Grill
- In door dining room with floor to ceiling windows with a vista of our lushly landscapped main pool area against a backdrop of the beach and ocean. Open at 7 AM for breakfast. For lunch and dinner we offer an all day dining menu featuring American fare; enjoy appitizers like conch fritters, smoked fish dip & chicken wings. We also make our own hand tossed pizza, freshly prepare salads, burgers, sandwiches and wraps and we offer nightly dinner specials. Full liquor bar service is available.
- Outside Patio Dining Area
- We'll gladly serve your favorite drinks and/or anything featured the Ocean Grill's all day dining menu outside at our poolside patio dining area. We will also serve you while you lounge on our beach; just press the button on the Beach Butler that is strapped to your beach chaise lounge and one of our servers will come to place and deliver your order.
- Room Service
- We will deliver anything you want from the menu we feature at the Ocean Grill to your room during the Ocean Grill's normal hours of operation.

An awesome vacation!
I first want to say how awesome this website is. Upon arriving to the hotel, we were automatically upgraded to a king-size ocean view room for free! I didn't give it 5 stars because the room we were upgraded to had a door that was not locking properly, so we had to wait a bit while maintenance fixed it. However the maintenance man was very courteous and he fixed it as swiftly as he could while obtaining assistance from another man (about an hour). While on the subject of the staff, they were all very nice and attentive, I couldn't say anything negative about them. While we were staying, the hotel hired a band to play that we could hear from our bathroom, and faintly hear from the room, which was nice because it didn't wake us up during our afternoon nap. (We're active 23 and 25 year olds, so the nap was very relaxing). The maids were also very quick and attentive, they knocked on the door and we told them no thanks. They came back later while we were out and tidied up the place for us, putting everything in it's place. The area is awesome, the beach is on site (only a few feet away) and has two pools available to jump into after a quick swim in the ocean. Overall, my stay was very relaxing and pleasing. I would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to anyone considering.

Also, if you want to check out some awesome food, we went to Chima (the brazillian steakhouse) and it was amazing, but be prepared so shell out a few dollars. It was so good, we wanted to go again the next night! My fiance could not stop talking about the "cheese steak" (not on a bun). It was so delicious, everyone should go at least once.

Old, grimy, and noisy
This was the worst hotel stay we've ever had. We had a room by the elevator and it was very noisy. The layout puts a lot of rooms by the elevator and it beeps all night long with guests going in and out. Many guests were smoking all over the outside property making it difficult to sit with our baby. The rooms were dark and a little grimy from many, many years use. The sheets and covers were thin motel covers. We were unable to connect to the wireless network. It is right on the beach, but there are very few options for restaurants or stores nearby. We had family obligations and it was too much to move all of our bags again mid-day when our baby naps, so we did not change hotels. Otherwise we would have been out of there in a hot Florida second. Keeping looking - it's way too much money for the price.

Pretty good
Clean rooms, nice location and nice pool. Room was small but we dont stay in the room much. No coffee in the lobby no luggage dollies unless you use a bellhop. Short on parking had to park across the busy street on partially lighted area.

Blues Cruiser
Pre Cruise
Our group of 4 spent 2 days at the Beachcomber Resort and Villas before going on our cruise. We all thought the hotel was fantastic! It was clean, and well maintained. Staff was helpful and friendly. Location was easy to find and access. Not too much shopping within walking distance, but we had a rental car so this wasn't a factor for us. We really enjoyed being able to walk out the door and be directly on the beach! I'm always leery when I book a hotel online, but was very happy when we arrived. Will stay here again and recomend it to our friends!

enjoyed my stay
Overall good...room clean very nice...tv old style bad picture...movie on demand didn't work...if want peace & quiet/no go...doors weigh ton and slam often sounds like bombs going off all hours of night. Beds amazing comfortable ..staff excellent!

Much needed get away
The hotel staff were very attentive, however, our room had a terrible moldy smell to it. Loved the hotel, loved the location, loved the amenities. Too bad the room had an overwhelming moldy smell, or I would've rated it a 4+.

Good location
I had noted the staff and maintenance 4 times about " squeaky " door hinges and door missing the small bumpers to close silently. This was apparent in other rooms as well on the 4th floor, as each time your door closes, the whole hallway wakes up. During my stay, there was nothing done for the door hinges ( would have only needed some WD40 )

Location, location, location
We checked in the day after New Years and were going to stay 3 nights and move on...After our first day we decided we wanted to stay as long as we could and booked another 5 nights! Steps from our room to the sand, pool, bar and everything you could possibly want or need within walking distance!
