Nice but not great

View from room was terrible; our view was mainly part of the roof from lower level. Elevator was slow and got stuck once while we were there. Some of the help was excellent some ok. Will not stay there next time.

Friendly but not clean

The lobby and bar area are nice. Starbucks in the lobby was great. Bell hops were extremely nice and helpful. Pool's outside were great for my 2 kids including the 1' deep kiddie pool. My only complaint was the actual room. The room had an odd smell to it, like someone had just used the bathroom before he walked in. There was mold in several places in the bathroom including the shower. Maybe I should of upgraded to a beach side room for $50/night but even on the road side you still have a view of the bay.

Where do I start

Where shall I start....hummmm how about when we first entered our room.. there was urine in the toilet along with toilet paper... looks like the maid left something before she left..NEXT..how about no television for several hours...and then finally the next day after the maids made our bed they didn't leave any fresh towels or sweep out the bathroom because there was still hair on the floor, and the chaulking job around the tub was just awful. My blind dog could have done a better job... On the flip side / or good side... the room was located facing the beach and pool.. that was really nice !!! the beach was awesome.. At the "latitude" bar by the pool was great. "[...]" our bartender was really great.. All the staff was professional and helpful. Even with the mishaps we would stay again.

Great Experience

We had an early flight into Pensacola and we were at the hotel by 9:30 am. They went ahead and let us have an early check-in so we could enjoy the rest of our day on the beach. The whole staff was very accomodating. The beach staff was also great. For a quick weekend trip, this was a great experience and will plan another trip to this location.

It was nice not to see chain restaurants. I enjoy eating at local establishments and expierence local flavors whenever I travel. Hemingways, Pegleg Petes and Flounders were all great. I would say Hemingways had the best menu of all.

OK but not great.

Pros: It's on the beach! The beaches are beautiful and you only need to step out the back door of the complex to be right there. The pool area is great for kids, it includes a kiddie pool which is only 1 foot deep at its lowest point. Walking distance to great seafood restaurants, activities and shopping. Cons: Small rooms, I have stayed in bigger rooms at much more reasonably priced hotels. Frat Party. I am not a prude and I the fraternity that was staying in the hotel was not nearly as bad as others that I have encountered. However, I think that it is reasonable to expect the hotel to notify you that 150 frat boys will be checking into the same resort while you are there with your family. All in all, we had a great time but I will probably shop for something more reasonably priced for the accommodations next time.

Flounders is across the street from the complex and has great seafood at a reasonable price and also offers a playground for the kiddies.

Great experience

We decided to add a couple of days to our vacation following three nights in New Orleans. We drove over to Pensacola. I'd never been there before, and expected it to me more commercial. It was actually nice and quaint. Hotel room was lovely. Glad to have a mini fridge. We enjoyed the views from the balcony. Definitely request a balcony room at check-in.
