My Stay -- Paradise Palms

Stayed here for the thanksgiving weekend and it was a pleasant experience.Hotel was in a perfect location and has beautiful ocean view and very accessible to all the attractions.Breakfast was just regular and the rooms were reasonable for the price paid, can't ask more.Kind of old hotel but seems to be renovated recently.Plenty of parking and courteous staff.Overall it was a very nice stay and I would definitely recommend this place.

Was first impressed.. but...

Location was perfect, was a pretty room. Average amenities. Was happy until I found out the first set of sheets in one bed had sand and hair on it. So tried the other bed, same thing, sand and hair found. Was disgusted, called front desk.. and they promptly sent housekeeping up to change the bed sheets. Disappointed.

Paradise!

Paradise Palms was an affordable way to get a gorgeous ocean-front view. The staff was incredibly friendly and willing to cater to our every need. The check out time was very relaxed and there was no extra charge for staying 3 hours past our 11am checkout. I would hands-down stay at this resort again. The pool was beautiful and you cannot go wrong with the location; there are so many great places to see/great restaurants to dine at and many great things to do in the area. Bang for the buck surely!

Beautiful beach a lot to do for family or couples

We just stayed overnight but got to see the whole place in hopes of coming back again.. there's several things to do there's two pools one has a waterfall and the other one is just a nice swimming pool there's a hot tub ,a bar we had 2-for-1 on the drinks and there's activities going on. We even got to witness a guy taking his girlfriend up in the helicopter i..when they hoovered over the sand in front of us it said Nikki will you marry me it was really neat! The only thing I wish we had was a full kitchen so we could stay for the whole week.

FIRST TIME TO THE EMERALD COAST

I DILIGENTLY READ REVIEWS AND RESEARCHED THIS TRIP. WHEN I CAME UPON THIS HOTEL I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR US. NOTHING FANCY. JUST THE NECESSITIES. WHEN WE ARRIVED WE WERE GREATED BY ALI. WHO WAS PERSONABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. HE GAVE US AN UNEXPECTED UPGRADE. I WSN'T SURE WHAT THE UPGRADE WAS BECAUSE ALL ROOMS HAVE TWO BEDS AND FACE THE BEACH. IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THAT THERE WAS A FRIDGE AND MICROWAVE ALREADY IN THE ROOM. IT WAS A PLEASANT SURPRISE, SINCE THE ROOMS DONT COME WITH THEM INCLUDED YOU ARE CHARGED AN EXTRA $15.00 IF YOU REQUEST THEM AND IF THEY HAVE THE AVAILABILITY. I AKKED ALI IF WE DECIDED TO STAY AN EXTRA DAY WHAT DID I NEED TO DO. HE CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS AVAILABLITY AND THEN HE TOLD ME THAT IF WE DECIDED TO STAY AN EXTRA DAY THAT WOULD BE NO PROBLEM AND THET THE HOTEL WOULD HONOR THE PRICE THAT I RECEIVED THROUGH THE BOOKING AGENT WE WENT THROUGH. ON THURSDAY WE STOPPED BY THE FRONT DESK TO LET THEM KNOW THAT WE WOULD LIKE TO STAY AN ADDITIONAL DAY. AT THIS TIME WE WERE TOLD THAT THE TOTAL PRICE FOR THE EXTRA DAY WOULD BE SOMETHING LIKE $112.00. I TOLD THE FRONT DESK PERSON WHAT ALI HAD TOLD US AND SHE SAID, "NO, WE CAN'T DO THAT." I ASKED HER TO SEE WHAT HER MANAGER SAID AND SHE WENT INTO THE BACK ROOM AND CAME OUT TELLING ME THE SAME THING. THE MANAGER DIDN'T EVEN COME OUT TO SPEAK TO US. WE WERE KIND OF PUZZLED BY WHAT WE HAD BEEN TOLD AND WHAT WAS HAPPENING. WE LEFT TO ENJOY OUR DAY. IT WASN'T SO MUCH ABOUT THE COST AS IT WAS ABOUT WHAT THEIR EMPLOYEE PROMISED TO A GUEST AND THAT THE MANAGER DIDNT HAVE THE PROFESSIONALISM TO STEP OUT FROM BEHIND THE WALL AND SPEAK TO US ABOUT IT. TO ME AND TO MOST TRAVELERS CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE KEY WHEN TRAVELING. LIEING OR HAVE DECEPTIVE PRACTICES LOSES EVERY TIME. MY BOYFRIEND DECIDED TO CALL THE HOTEL AND GIVE THEM A FINAL CHANCE TO MAKE IT RIGHT. HE SPOKE TO THE SAME PERSON THAT WE SPOKE TO IN PERSON AND WAS GIVEN THE SAME $112.00. YOU ARE CERTAINLY NOT PAYING FOR THE AMMENITIES, CLEANILINENESS OR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS HOTEL. THE ROOM WAS NOT AS CLEAN AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED IT TO BE. DONT EXPECT THE MAID TO CLEAN YOUR ROOM WHILE YOUR OUT. THE ONLY THING SHE DID WAS MAKE THE BED, NOT CHANGE OUT THE BED AND PICK UP THE TOWELS ON THE FLOOR IF YOU LEFT THEM THERE AND REPLACED THEM. THE ROOM HAD TILE AND NEEDED A GOOD VACUUM OR SWEEPING EACH DAY DUE TO ALL THE SAND THAT IS TRACKED IN. WE TRIED TO KEEP THE SAND OUT BUT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE. THE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR. WE BROUGHT OUR OWN CHAIRS AND A BEACH UMBRELLA. THANK GOODNESS BECAUSE THE ONES IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL ON THE BEACH ARE FOR RENT FOR WAY TO MUCH. THE MOVIE EVERY NIGHT WAS A BONUS, BUT IF YOU WERE SLEEPY AND WANTED TO GET ANY REST FORGET IT. THE MOVIE WASNT OVER SOMETIME UNTIL AFTER 10PM. THE SPEAKERS ARE PLACED SO THE VIEWERS AT THE POOL AND ON THE SECOND FLOOR AREA CAN HEAR. I COULD HEAR IT FROM MY ROOM, BUT THAT IS OK BECAUSE I WAS AT THE MOVIE ANYWAY. NOTHING LIKE SITTING IN A POOL WATCHING A MOVIE, ON A BEAUTIFUL BEACH WITH BEAUTIFUL STARS IN THE SKY. IT WAS NICE. THE WATER AT THE BEACH WAS LOVELEY. AT AROUND 4:30 PM EACH DAY THE MANARAYS FEED ALONG THE SHORE FOR THE SMALL FISH, WE ALSO SAW SOME STINGRAYS AS WELL, BE CAREFUL ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE KIDS. THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY ONLY THE DIFFERENT COLORED FLAGS THAT WARN YOU OF LEVELS OF DANGER. THE MOLD, FIXTURES, AND DECOR ARE STUCK IN THE 80'S AT BEST. THE MOLD IN THE TILES THAT IS EVERYWHERE IS GROSS AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSES. OTHER THAN THAT ITS TO BAD THAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS SUCH A LET DOWN. I CAN DEAL WITH ALL THE OTHER STUFF, BUT I WONT STAY HERE AGAIN, WE WILL STAY AT THE HOTEL WE STAYED AT WHEN WE HAD TO FIND ANOTHER HOTEL BECAUSE WE COULDNT GET WHAT WE WERE PROMISED. FYI THE HOTEL WE ENEDED UP WITH WAS LESS $ AND 4 STAR.

DONT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE LIED TOO. THERE ARE TO MANY HOTELS UP AND DOWN THE BEACH THAT ARE WAY BETTER FOR THE SAME PRICE.
