Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort

This resort is wonderful. Although, when we arrived to check-in, I was told there was an additional charge for a cleaning fee and a non-refundable damage deposit. That was not mentioned on the booking website and when I questioned the clerk, her only reply was that it was standard. When we left and I picked up my final receipt...it had "new negotiated price" on it. So I ended up paying my booking price and an additional 169.??...I wasn't happy about this added charge. I would recommend this resort, but I would check for hidden fees before booking here again.

Pleasantly surprised. Usually only stay at places that that has been recommended by someone else. Took a chance this time and not disappointed. Will def stay again

this place is a JOKE! there was an extra $162 charge which OB does not tell you when you book! The extra charge is for the staff to clean the place after you check out... WTH!!! I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH THEM EVER AGAIN!!! PERIOD!!! I AM EVEN RE THINKING BOOKING WITH OB AS WELL.!!!!!

The room was a good deal but I was not told that I was going to be charged another 140.00 for cleaning. I saw that a $45.00 charge was to be paid but not $140.00. Was really upset about that. Will NOT stay in that place again. You should let people know when they are going to get charged extra. Not satisfied at all.

This resort was located so close to everything the staff was awesome and the views were great you definitely get what you pay for plus some the room had a pool very close to it and the team would come get you and brin you back from the beach I would recommend this to anyone

After booking and prepaying for this hotel, I arrived to find they required an additional payment before check-in for a "cleaning fee", which was an additional 50% of the hotel rate!!! They claimed the on-line booking company should have communicated this information. The fact is this additional, enormous fee, was not clearly communicated any where by either the on-line booking company or the hotel UNTIL check-in!

From check in all the way through the entire stay this was a fantastic place. We thoroughly enjoyed the location and amenities offered. Even though we were not on the beach side we still were in a great villa with a lake right outside our patio and easy access to the beach and other activities offered at the facility. The room was great...only problem was telephones didn't work but with cellphones we didn't even bother to report the issue. I had teens and young adults in my party and they said over and over again that this is the place we should book every year for vacation. Edgewater is top notch for sure!

Well it would have been nice to check in at the time promised by Orbitz. It was not the same as the Hoyetls policy we had to wait almost 2 hrs for our room. The front desk manager of all people couldve cared less if we were there or not, Not very welcoming.This is not the first time weve stayed here, but we thought wed give it another shot. i wont be visting this resort again. Word to the wise dont ever stay or let them put you an the floor room. We stayed in the golf villas which are 2 floors and you could've slept late if you tried. Here's our luck for ya they're was a family of 4 and inlaws in the room above us and every morning they woke up at 6 am and constantly walked back and forth and you could hear that on the bottom .The creaking of the ceiling and the foot sounds it was like some one couldnt be still 5 minutes. We were only there for 2 nights and both mornings and late nights were hell.constant floor noise. If i had it to do it all over i wouldve asked to switch rooms.

very satisfied with edgewater beach resort. second year in a row we have stayed at this resort.

On check in the hotel staff was very friendly. A couple of days after we checked in the water heater in the unit we were in was leaking on the floor. They were kind enough to move us to a different unit without us asking. We will stay at Edgewater again. We were celebrating our anniversay and my birthday. I would highly recommend Satlwater Grille to anyone that is going to be in the area. Food was wonderful, reasonable and the servie was also very good. We also like the Ocean's Grille. Those are the only 2 places that we ate dinner on our stay. The condos I believe we liked better than being over in one of the towers. Much quieter! Good for relaxing.
