Great Location, Excellent Value

Our first visit to Panama City Beach. Really enjoyed the Calypso, nearby South Pier center (especially Tootsies - a wonderful honky tonk), beautiful beach, and off-season slow pace. Although known to some as the redneck riviera, we found it very nice. beats other FL destinations we visited except Miami Beach and Key West.

Although Capt Andersons (top restaurant) was closed for season, we dined at the Boatyard twice because it was simply excellent. shrimp & grits entree and burger were fabulous.

Calypso nice, Management company Bad!

The management company is horrible and I was so disappointmented with that considering the price we paid to stay somewhere nice. We didn't have towels or wash cloths and had to ask 5 times to get. It took 1 1/2 days to get them. Air condioner went out so we had to change rooms. If you have problems you better hope its between 9-6 or lobby is closed. I won't stay at a Waterstone property again. They clearly didn't care about our problems or our inconvenience.

weekend getaway

The room was very nice and very large. There was a TV in every room. It was very clean. The only complaint that we had was that the air was not working Friday when we got there. We did not realize it till Sat morning, just thought the room had to cool down. Called the front office Sat morning and they got right on it. The air started working about lunch time and was off again about 6pm. Called the front office and they told me that it was the whole East Wing. Tripped the circuit and it began to work. The front office is great to deal with. We would definately go back!

Great location for the price

We traveled to Panama City for Memorial Day weekend. I booked this hotel due to the fact that it was close to pier park. This could not have worked out better for us. We did not even have to use our car and get in all that traffic! We were able to walk a block to pier park which had lots of restaurants (Margaritaville and Beirgarden) and when we were done with dinner most of the restaurants had live music so we stayed out for the entertainment. My husband and I are not into the club scene so it was nice to have live entertainment without the club scene. We needed to do some shopping and all the shops were open late Saturday and Sunday so we were able to buy some nice things at dinner. We also were walking distance to the Calypso restaurant which also had great dining and live entertainment. The resort was very nice with a GREAT view of the ocean. We had so much room for the two if us! we had a separate bedroom, separte living room, nice furnished kitchen and two bathrooms...for the price it was incredible! The resort provided chairs on the beach which was convenient. You have to go down and reserve one for the day and we were told they were first come first serve but even as crowded as it was we were able to get one both days of our trip. We are definately planning a trip back!! great location and clean resort for a low price!

Nice resort, location, some bad guests

Great location, but had daughter's flip flops stolen from pool while we were swimming! Don't leave at beach for that reason, but at the pool?? We also had someone write on our suv windows while it was parked in the parking deck.

Calypso

This trip was for Spring Break 2010. I bought my sister, my cousin, and my friend along with me. We had a blast! The condo was wonderful, the view of the beach was amazing, and the customer service was awesome. My fiance' stayed at this condo last Spring Break with his friends and I fell in love with it when I visited their room.

Darn fine place!

I had a blast. The only problem was the office was open 8-8. We needed an early checkout but couldn't leave before 8 am (central time). The over all experience was wonderful!!!
