Boardwalk Beach Resort Convention Center and Hotel

Hotel is a little outdated. Rooms definitely need a little TLC. Location is perfect, right on the beach. With had a room with a balcony toward the gulf and it was beautiful. A little pricey, but maybe it was because it was bike week. Close to everything. I would recommend this hotel mainly because of it's location.

This was one of the worst and dirty hotels I have ever been too..The beds were broke and dirty and smelled like urine and beer.My 11yr old son would not even sleep on the covers and the noise kept us up all night. Staff was not friendly or clean. I would have left but all the hotels were booked. As I was sitting there I booked the Holiday inn for my next to days. I left the hotel as soon as the sun came up. Wonder why there is no pics of the rooms..I should of know better

The hotel has a great location. However, that is the only positive thing I have to say. The place smelled horrible. The staff was rude. We called asking what time check-out was, and they insisted it was 8 AM. Upon further review of pulling up our reservations in email, we noticed check-out is at 10 am. While checking in, we overheard other people being out of luck because they double booked the room. Also, while checking in they tried to have me initial hidden fees. Do not sign anything without reading it first. They also did not have an ice machine and parking was impossible to find. I will not stay here again.

Pay attention to the room location--a room above the shelter covering the pool is hardly what I consider poolside, you'll get a tiny bit of your money's worth if you ask for gulf view. That was the only good thing about this hotel was the location--you were practically on the beach if you stayed in a gulf view room. Other than that, the room smelled funny, the mattresses were uncomfortable, the ceiling to the bathroom was stained of mold and mildew, there was no lighting in the room but 1 lamp that turned everything a weird yellow, and there was something sticky in the fridge...the bathroom had no vanity space to set down your toiletries, and we were scared to even lay in the sheets...an to top it all off the hotel is so old they only have wi-fi in the food court and none in the actual hotel rooms--inconvenient. Like I said the location was excellent but that was about it.

Boardwalk is not worth its cost. Internet was not provided in rooms and was only in Lobby and swimming pool. They also took some $7 fees for UPA which should not be after internet booking or should have been mentioned on the ticket. Phone was not working. It was not very clean. Pool had cold water. They did not keep soap and other stuff in bathroom. I am not sure how to get a AAA discount from Orbitz website since it could have saved me more if I had done it through AAA. Rest was okay. I will give two stars out of five.

The location was great, but since my husband and I were under 25, we had to pay $50 more than everyone else. And they refused to give us a beach side room.

we had to change rooms 3 times. We reserved a gul view, the first room all you could see was palm trees, so they moved us into another room, but then that one had a leak in the roof, and the 3rd one had a broken toilet. Not pleased.

it was in a great location. rooms was clean and didnt have a weird smell like some hotels. staff was great too.

I never write reviews for hotels...but felt like this one needed to be shared. We got there late Friday night, and upon our arrival the staff wasn't very friendly-there were about 8 people behind counter but took forever to get us checked in. After looking at the pictures on the website I was expecting something very nice-the room was far from that. The condo side may be nicer but the hotel is not worth it's value. Also don't pay the extra money for oceanview-because there is a balcony around whole building that you can just walk to and see the ocean. We also got woke up in the middle of the night from some loud women trying to get in our room-my boyfriend opened the door and they said they had given them our room. Obviously he sent them back down to the lobby. And the next morning I got confirmation from the staff that they did give our room to someone else when I had to go get new room keys since ours didn't work anymore. And they said they had thought we had checked out which is totally stupid in my eyes since we had just checked just 2-3 hours before the women came to our door. I would say the staff I dealt with was unprofessional, rude and not too smart. I will never stay there again and also will tell any friends I know that are going to Panama City not to stay at this place.

it served it's purpose, definitely. Nothing extraordinary. It's right on the beach but shouldn't be 150 a night. Overall good experience
