Awesome Vacation
My husband and I had such a wonderful time at The Cove. We spent a majority of the time soaking up the sun down by the ocean as well as in the pool. We had a one bedroom condo in the north tower. The room was so nice and clean, it looked very modern. We also had a great view of the pool and our balcony from our room! The pool was really fun! They provide floaties for the slide and lazy river. They also provide chairs and umbrellas for the pool as well as the beach. You do have to get up early to get them! They get taken fast. The hotel staff was very nice! We go there early (on Memorial Day) and we we able to check in a little early as well. The exterior of the north tower needs some paint, I dont know if they were getting ready to do that, but dont be fooled, the inside was great! There is also an activities director that will help you book activities and provides various activities throughout the week! Over all, and AMAZING stay! We plan to go back in the future!

Some good and some not so good
The rooms seem to be well maintained but we looked forward to having a balcony we could sit on in the evenings to watch the beach. We stayed at this place 2 years ago and even though the balcony didn't directly face the ocean, it was still a nice view. This time, we were on the bottom floor and the balcony had cars from the parking lot right up against it. We tried to change rooms but couldn't. The pool is nice but closes at 8:30PM which is way too early. Some of the parking spaces were blocked off because of "maintenance" but there was no maintenance being done to the blocked off spaces. Not sure what that was about.

A great getaway
we were very happy with our room and location. It is so nice to sleep with the slider open listening to the ocean. we were close to daytona raceway, the chocolate factory, the fleemarket and shopping. The rooms are very beautiful and fully furnished. It is great to have a fridge and stove also a washer and dryer. This is the perfect getaway. Loved it her.

" The nice but stricked "
I enjoyed the hotel except that you had to go outside the building to smoke. It is 175.00 fine to smoke even on your balcony. It rained most of our trip and they really need to improve the game room most games were broken and no hot tub inside just outside. It would be nice if they had the n. and s. tower connected so you do not have to get drenched in storms to use the game room in north tower or swim in the indoor pool in south tower. They also ,when its pretty outside, play music from the hotel that isnt to everyones liking, espeacially if you like to sleep in. other than that it is a nice place and very clean beaches.

Fantastic location
Took this trip with 3 other friends, we rented two of the one bedroom condo's in the south tower. We arrived at The Cove around 9pm and were immediately welcomed by Jennifer who was working the front desk. She quickly got us all checked in and up to our rooms (Jennifer was so great and very helpful throughout our trip). All of us were very impressed with the rooms. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to prepare meals, and even store leftovers. I'm not much of a cook so we only did a couple of dinners in the room. We spent a lot of time down by the beach and around the pool. The resort was not full but the chairs around the pool and the lounge chairs available for the beach go quickly. The pool staff was very friendly and always willing to give a hand with setting up a beach umbrella or moving chairs down to the beach. The pool is great for kids, waterslide, lazy river with buckets that dump water and squirting water fountains. I'm 40 years old and still had fun going down the slide and floating around the pool. The beach was very clean and well maintained. This is still a timeshare resort and they would like you to do the "tour" of the sister property down the street. We would get a message on our phone in the mornings inviting us to do the tour but nothing ever pushy (we never did the tour). We all loved the resort, loved the staff, and the beach was fantastic. Can't wait to come back for another visit.

Short drive from hotel
We went to the Ohana luau at the Hawaiian Inn. It cost over $50 bucks per person (after taxes and tip) and the food was really not that good and the show was not that entertaining. I thought it was going to be outside on the beach, but it was in a very outdated room of the hotel decorated cheaply and glowing from the black lights around the room. The band was OK but the food and show was just not worth the money they charged. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Great hotel!
The Cove was a really great place to stay and in a wonderful location...not too far away from anything. One ammenity of the hotel we particularly liked was that they offer free chairs and umbrellas on the beach, which came in very handy and saved us alot of money. They were first come first serve so we had to get to the beach usually before 10 each morning to get one, but that was a super perk! One small disappointment...I had written in advance to request a "great" ocean view room and we didn't get that. We were on the 2nd floor in the south tower with 2 palm trees pretty much blocking the "ocean view", but on the upside the girl at the front desk did offer to move us the next day to one further up, which I thought was very nice. We chose not to as it would have been more trouble than it was worth. All in all it was a great trip and the weather was wonderful! We hopefully will go back to The Cove next year. This is a definate kid friendly place with the slide and lazy river at the pool.

Pleasantly Surprised
When I first booked the room, I was concerned that renovations were done to the North Tower which was where our room was located. I have had previous experience with establishments under going renovations. They would put you in a room not renovated and then try to sell you a timeshare by showing you the renovated room. The hotel had a mixture of guests and staying was relaxing. The location was very conveniently located. It was close enough to everything, yet far enough away from the busier Dayton Beach. I find the temperature on the Atlantic side of Florida more comfortable and the beach is outstanding. The hotel provided lounge chairs and umbrellas to be used on the beach. The room was comfortable and the price was reasonable. My only concerns were there was not an eating establishment on site and you were charged for items that would normally be included in the price of the room i.e. housekeeping.

Great location for the price.
Condo/timeshare was nice. Clean and adequate size. Fold out couch was comfortable. We were in a 1 bedroom - only window was in living room - patio door. No other windows. The end units with 2 bedrooms were much larger and additional windows. We do plan to go back - but will spend the extra money for the larger unit. They must been in the process of painting the outside of the building - looked like building had been sandplasted - but was not painted yet.

Enjoyable but chilly
The ladies at the front desk were very helpful. They also helped arrange transportation to Orlando airport at a terrific fee. Our only dislike was no outside swimming area and the inside and outside pools were advertised as heated, but we were told the heat had been turned off for summer! Other than that is was great!
