Royal Floridian Resort

The ocean at Ormond Beach and it's slice of nature's creatures have different personalities and activities going on each time we go to be soothed by them, while the staff, amenities and atmosphere of the Royal Floridian plus nearby attractions remain dependable to enable our continuing delight.

very good location at the northern end of the drivable section of beach. Great beach. It is nice that it is far away from the tattoo parlors and liquor stores near the Main Street pier. Place was very clean and the staff was very friendly, right down to the pool guys who vacuum the pool in the early morning. Very good restaurants within walking distance (Stomewood Grill, Peach Valley Cafe and Lulu's).

Resort is a time share. The room was noisy, no maid service, had to give our towels to get new towels.

When I arrived I was greeted like I was a celebrity. My unit was ready and the staff couldn't do enough to make my stay better. The staff goes to great lenghts to keep the grounds spotless. My room had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to all activities in the surronding areas. I cannot wait to book my next stay!! Bravo to the Royal Floridian.

The location of the hotel was great! I even thought the price was a good deal! My primary issue was that they charged me for the room after already receiving my payment [...]. I had to speak with several people and wait nearly a week to get my money back. Also, be aware that pets are allowed. We had a very vocal dog in a room next door. Overall, the hotel is a good deal for the low price, but they need to seriously work on their customer service.

We had a room in the South Tower which was 600-700 sf with a full kitchen including granite countertops and a private bedroom. Oceanfront of course. Never stayed at a nicer place in the Daytona Beach area!

Extremely clean and a very good location. Beach was very open and not crowded at all. Didn't like the fact that you had to pay $7 per day if you wanted fresh towels.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Royal Floridian. The staff was friendly and accommadating. The room was exceptionally clean! Unlike other hotels we've visited, we did not have to stand around for days... waiting on the elevators. Additionally, my sons enjoyed the games on the deck area, i.e., mini golf, shuffle board and bean bag toss.

Nice "condo" type of room. Bright, roomy, clean. All ammenities of "condo" iving were there. Lack, of shelf and hooks in bathroom to put clothes and toiletries. Very poor Internet connection in room. Had to use lobby. Over-all we would stay there again.

The hotel was beautiful. Unfortunately, we got the feeling that the only guests that were important were the time share owners. When I contacted the hotel via my [...]rep to confirm my reservation, I tried to upgrade my room reservation and was told that it had to be done at checkin. When we arrived I was told that I had to speak to someone in registration, simply because I had booked through [...]. They were not in. I was told to leave a message and they would get back to me. I NEVER received a return call. Our room was nice, BUT it was tiny and overlooked the street in front of the hotel.We were deprived of the ocean view and balcony that is so much a part of the Daytona Beach experience. We had no housekeeping service. We were expected to strip our own beds and take out our own trash. This is not what I expected from a 4 to 5 star hotel. I am 49 year old and this was my first ever real vacation. We had a nice time, but it could have been better.
