We were in a room that was located directly outside the vending and ice machine....way too much noise. It was cold in ... florida and the heater didn't work. The room smelled very musty, there was no clock in the room, and one night I found a waterbug strolling around in the bathroom. And, no wi-fi available in the room but wired connection for $10 a day? Should be free! the grounds were really nice, nice pools (but too cold to use them) and a great pool bar with wonderful people working there. and if you buy something there, they will give you the passcode to wi-fi that works by the pool...code is supposed to be good for 24 hours but someone told us they only change it once a week. So overall, the room gets one star, the place in general outside the room gets 4 stars.

I was so excited about the great deal that I got when I booked my 3 night stay at the Wyndham Orlando Resort, with its great ... location, beautiful landscape, pools, etc.. However, I was blinded by the price, and neglected to read the reviews before I booked this non-refundable deal. A couple of days later, I was shocked and dismayed upon reading the horrible reviews. Over the next few days, I tried to convince myself that my experience would be like few positive ones that I read about...When we got there, everything looked okay, but upon further inspection, we realized that the horrible reviews were true... The room looks exactly like the picture, however, upon closer inspection, you see the dirt. We do a standard Lysol wipes wipedown wherever we stay, but we didn't expect for the wipes to actually reveal so much dirt! It was everywhere, which is totally unacceptable! For example: -The sheets and the pillow covers had spots on them, which we kindly tried to accept as permanent stains. -We tried to ignore the dusty coffee cups, the shower curtain with the mildew, the bed skirt with the stains, and the dirty walls. -We were awakened to lots of noise outside of our door the next morning, including the grass being cut. -The worst was a few minutes later...I nearly threw up after answering the "welcome" voicemail message on the phone when I realized the "dirt" on the phone cord smelled like vomit!! That was the second to last straw. -The final straw came a few minutes later when we saw a roach in the bathroom. We decided to leave. The guy at the lobby desk offered us a key to another room with a second floor balcony, however, it was older than the first room, and the sheets still had stains. We checked out a few minutes later.

Orlando fan #24 Dec 16, 2009
The hotel location is very good. International Drive is an excellent source of entertainment for young adults and adults ... while in Orlando. The hotel is just 15-18 minutes away from Walt Disney World (driving) and less than 10-12 minutes from Universal and Sea World. I have stayed at the Marriot World Center Resort before and location was key but I reccommend the Wyndham as well for it's diverse options. The only regret is that the rooms are a little outdated and they have the coffee machine inside the bathroom (which we found was a little unusual...and not sanitary at all).

The hotel wasn't bad. We really liked the pool. The only thing we didn't like was that you had to pay for WiFi, $10 a day. We ... didn't realize this when we decided to stay. There are plenty of hotels out there that are just as nice that provide free internet service. The fact that they do not was just ridiculous and the price was too high. Otherwise the room was clean, and it is near SeaWorld, which we liked.

The hotel looks quite good and it is close to all the attractions. This was very helpful when we got soaked at the Universal ... Studios park and we had to get back quickly to exchange clothes! The hotel is quite spread out in various buildings and seems to be reasonably quiet. Staff was helpful and offered useful advice. The room we stayed was confortable but not the top of luxury. We missed a refrigerator in the room. Also the hall had a faint smell, but that was not really a problem. All considered a good experience and I would come back again for a future trip.

Very helpful by being close to the major attraction so that you can go there, come back during the day, to eat, change, relax, and easily go back there before the day is over.

Enjoyable dining experiences at Kobi Japanese restaurant,BB King's Blues Cafe was excellent(both the food and service were excellent, as well as the extra-ordinary entertainment there.) There also was a Walgreen's Pharmacy right across the street.UNO Chicago-style Bar also had very exclusively exquisite food, as well as outstanding service.I would not recomend the Perkins restaurant across the street from the Wyndom Resort either. The food was of poor quality, and the service in the later evening was slow and unattentive to my needs, as well as to some of the other customers that I observed.I also had great service at the tourist information center across the street from the Wyndom Resort.

Cabs were biggest expense. 50 dollars with tip included from airport to hotel and another 50 dollars to get back at end of trip (8miles) Universal 1.5 miles away was 25 dollars round trip. I think it is overpriced. Meet another couple and split the fares.
