Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa

We absolutely loved the room and overall experience! Wish they had an all day running shuttle.. but other than this, we had a blast.. there was plenty to do and it was all extremely relaxing! The room was so wonderful we would have been happy spending our entire trip just enjoying it! It was exactly what we needed!

Our check in was easy, but we were escorted to the VIP desk where they signed us up for a timeshare meeting. The next day the meeting took 3 hours and it was a salesman pushing us to buy a timeshare. In our room there were mens leftover shavings in the sink and womens hair also left in the drain in the bathroom. The smokehouse grill was understaffed when we went there so we left after 10 minutes of not being served.

This is an enormous complex. We had to wait in line about 20 minutes just to get to check in and we got there about 10pm. Apparently, they gave our reserved room to somebody else and they "upgraded" our room. We were given one of their condo units. It was very cramped. My biggest complaint is there was no parking in the area for the building we were in. We had to walk quite a distance to get to our room, in the rain, and late at night. There were several employees driving around in golf carts but not one stopped to offer assistance to us as we struggled to get our luggage to the room. I even asked one employee who was just sitting there where should we park and he was no help whatsoever. I would like to mention that the lady who checked us in was very nice. The bed was quite comfortable. The hotel is on a lake and the room had a screened in deck and that was very nice. The price was a fair price. Overall, I think they try to put too many people in an area that just is not big enough to hold that many.

We used this accommodation as a base to visit various theme parks and baseball spring training games in Orlando and both Florida coasts. Our unit was a "studio" which is a little larger than a hotel room by the addition of a small wet bar and microwave oven. We got what we expected... a place to sleep and occasionally lounge by one of the pools. Everything else required a drive. Although they did provide shuttles to the theme parks they only ran a few times in the morning and evening. The Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa is primarily a large timeshare complex built around a large lake that provides water views for most of the units. The interior of some of the units are dated (old furniture and 32" tube TV) but they are clean and very functional. As expected, they offer a "tour" of the property if you're not an owner. This is a rather hard sell pitch to purchase a timeshare so my advice is to skip it unless you're really interested in a purchase.

Westgate Lake Resort was great! Very large, clean, great location. They really thought of everything.

It was a alright stay don't like that there are specific times for shuttles and not every 20 minutes like the Disney parks. Right on the free way do you can't walk to any restaurants either location not the best

Great stay. Great staff. Clean rooms. Great amenities. Me and my girl stayed in the newly renovated deluxe villa with a great view of the lake. Great value as well. Location is excellent, right around the corner from international drive. Would come here again!

I did not know that it was a time share and they would put us throght a 90 min nightmare. the breakfast they offered was subpar to any hotel we would have stayed at. There were no convenient amenities at the buiding we stayed at. everything was far awayincluding a subpar restaurant. this is not for two adult persons. Bring your 3 kids but do not look for amenities. Even the ants crawling in the kitchen had a better time. No thank you"

The room was large and very nicely equipped. The hottub in the room was a nice touch and perfect for both to relax in. The resort was very close to everything we had planned and easy to find. This was much better than the more expensive place I stayed at last time I visited Orlando.

Me & My Wife Just Stayed At This Resort From July 16th - 23rd & It Was Wonderful. Upon Driving Up To The Main Lobby, It's A Very Beautiful, Clean & Wonderful Place To See, The Staff Was Very, Very Polite & Kind, After Getting My Two Room Keys & Driving Back To My Villa (The Property Is Huge), Upon Opening The Door, I Was Just Shocked & The Extreme Cleanliness & Neatness Of The Room, The Room Was Well Stocked With Extra Towels, Sheets, Blankets, & Bathroom Supplies, Everything was In Prestine Condition, Down To The Ironing Board & Iron, The TV Was A Little Dated (Not FlatScreen), But Huge Anyway, So You Could Live With it, The Outside Patio With Table & Two Chairs & Inside table With Two Chairs Was Clean & In Very Good Condition, The King Sized Bed Was In Very Good Condition & Well As The Sleeper Sofa. The Jacuzzi Is Small, You Couldn't Get Two People Into it. The Glass Inclosed Shower Was Excellent, The Only problem I noticed We had Slightly, Is The When Your Gone All Day And Come Back Into Your Room, There Be Some Type of Bugs that Be in The Jacuzzi (Small like Nats) Only Like 5 or 6, Just Rinse Them Out And Your Fine, But This Will Be Everyday Though. The Kitchenette Was great, You Get Microwave, Mini Fridge, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Set Of Dishes, Silverware, Glasses, Bowls (All Dishes Are See-Thru Glass) & Sink, They Stock You With Two Rolls of Paper Towels, Several Dish Clothes & Plenty Other Things, And To Have The Lake, 15 Feet Away As Your Patio View (Which Is Screened In), To Keep The Bugs Out is Awesome. Free Buses Run Every 15mins To Take You Anywhere On The Westgate Property You Wish, You Also Can Catch Any Of The Guys Driving the Golf Carts, Its About 7 Pools You Can Go To At Your Leisure. They Have A Smokehouse Steak Resturant, Pizzahut Express & A Market On The Property & Very Close To The Super Walmart. There Is To Much I Could Say About this Resort To Mention, It's A Lovely, Beautiful Place, & From Now On When I Visit Orlando, FL, This Is Where I Will Be Staying. I Would Just Upgrade From The Studio To The 1-Bedroom.
