The Point Universal Orlando Resort is a Universal Orlando Partner hotel on International Drive that departs from the theme park aesthetic common at other properties. With 214 studios and suites, the accommodations look like sophisticated apartments with full kitchens, handsome furniture and separate showers and tubs. But business travelers are not the only ones who call this place home during a stay in Orlando. Families appreciate the free scheduled shuttle to Disney theme parks, SeaWorld and Universal Orlando, and the on-site restaurant.

Birthday Weekend
Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, very quiet and great location away from all the hustle and bustle of international Drive. Do not agree with charge of resort fee when they don't have room service.

The point Orlando
The hotel was very nice. We went to Florida to go to universal studios but it was so hot my daughters just wanted to go back to the hotel to swim in the pool. It was a very nice hotel we would go back. The one thing I would ask fir is more hooks to be able to hang wet swim suits.

Looking for More
Not Well Maintained
I liked the idea of The Point. The layout and spaciousness of the rooms was great but the upkeep left a lot to be desired. I did like having the kitchen and living room area but the carpets were dirty and stained and the walls were scarred and dirty. I went with my adult daughter and we each had our own space which was nice but the tv in my room didn't work (the sound kept going in and out). The location was not as close to Universal as I expected. I will say that for the price and the amount of space it is a good deal for families with several children. The pool was nice, the space was large and there were places to eat close by or you could shop at a grocery store. This facility was probably great when it was new but time has not been good (or at least proper upkeep has not been done). I wanted to like The Point but I was disappointed. I gave up a nicer hotel for the kitchen and extra space but it wasn't worth it for me. If you are on a budget it is a good deal anyway, especially if you have kids but I needed it to be a lot nicer. I don't think I would stay there again or recommend it to my family or friends.

Comfortable & Clean
Was in Orlando visiting a friend. Was impressed with how large the room was, and that it included a mini-fridge and full sized microwave. Room was very clean. Older TV. Great location (close to Universal & Disney) Only issue was that my rental car was broken into.

I went here with my girlfriend. We had a wonderful time at this resort, especially with the room upgrade. Poolside and bar was excellent. Room service great. Overall just great time.

The room was terrible walls were beat up and worst of all we had NO PILLOWS !!!! and they had none to give us never staying there again!

Great value
We found a room at a great discount and the Orlando tourist district has a few dives but other customers gave it good reviews and it satisfied all our expectations. Clean, comfortable, well kept accommodations in a great location.
