The Point Orlando is only a few minutes from most major attractions in the area, including Aquatica, SeaWorld, Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. For those on business trips, the Orange County Convention Center is less than two miles away, and the resort's central location close to Orlando International Airport (MCO) eases arrivals and departures. Get your fashion fix at one of the five nearby malls, and dine out at local restaurants like Chili's Grill & Bar and Pizza Xtreme.
Hints and tips
Make your theme park excursions less stressful by purchasing your tickets at the lobby kiosk before heading out.

While the shuttle is convenient, renting a car makes sense for visiting more remote locations like Legoland.

Wonderful Experience!

I must say, this hotel/resort hit the nail right on the head! I tend to perform a lot of research prior to finalizing a reservation and I use the internet as an aide for reviews. My top priorities when searching for a hotel are cleanliness; location to major services/attractions/restaurants; value(price); and free parking and/or hot breakfast are always bonuses. This resort was splendid and checked off all my boxes. Even though the hot breakfast was $12 per person plus taxes and gratuity (not included in room rate however, I believe some packages may offer this added option) and the resort fee was about the same at $12 per day, both were quite reasonable and the hot buffet breakfast was perfect and available until 11am! My boyfriend and I did not get to use the facilities (pool, fitness center) during our 3-night stay because there is always something to do on the outside in Orlando, but maybe next time! I highly recommend this hotel/resort whether your travelling in 2 or in 6 because 2 bedroom units are also available! My only issue (and it was not one to really complain about) was that the toilet had water pressure issues and did not flush properly all the time, and maybe the hallways could use a vacuuming a little more often, but having been there over the Labor Day weekend, it was extremely busy and therefore, not really a complaint. Overall, great stay!

Great Value for the price!

The Point Orlando Resort is a new brand to me. I am an Orlando resident, and was looking for just a relaxing weekend away from home. While researching, the reviews for this place versus the cost it was listed for was unbeatable, so I decided to check it out. The staff was quite pleasant and willing to assist. At first I was a little disappointed by the quality of the beds, since that was the first thing I checked out, only to find that it squeaked quite a bit and was not as comfortable as I was expecting. I called the front desk and they had sent their engineers to resolve the matter while I had stepped out, however, when I returned I realized that they didn't resolve it, but instead had made the sofa bed, which wasn't what I was expecting, nor was it comfortable. So when I called again, the front desk manager decided to change my room since it was so late at night. The room was really nice and clean, with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and the bathroom had a whirlpool tub with jets as well as a walk in shower. The king bed, however, still squeaked a little when I sat on it or tried to lay on it, and if you rolled around on it, it felt like it wasn't level. I decided to stop complaining and just enjoy the rest of the amenities. It really was a great room. The bed wasn't the worst, but they could definitely upgrade their quality of beds. There isn't any reason for a fairly new resort to have squeaky and creaking beds, as if they're old. I spent a good amount of time in the room, and was also hoping for a variety of channels and movie options, but they didn't have that. I asked the front desk about that, and I was told that they may be switching cable providers soon. The overall stay was pleasant. I enjoyed the pool and bar area, especially the staff who were extremely friendly. I also liked the fact that parking was free, and for a nice hotel, it's pretty rare to have free parking. The area is not as congested as the rest of the vicinity, considering it's location is so close to tourist attractions as Wet N Wild and Universal Studios, as well as, the outlets are within minutes of the resort. I definitely recommend the resort for anyone looking for a comfortable resort stay within a reasonable distance from the attractions in Orlando.

So-So

Hotel staff was pleasant. Room was not the cleanest. Walls and doors had splatters on them. Second king bed in the room had broken box spring so there was a large dip in the bed. There were 3 of us in the room. Only gave us towels for two people. Second night we had towels enough for four people and then we were back to towels for two people. Surprised we had to put down security deposit on the room that had already paid for which the security deposit was initially $250 then it when to $150 when they changed our room. I understand having credit card on file but they actually charged the card. Fees where reduced to just paying the tax when we checked out.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Buy tickets for the theme parks in advance or online to save money. Don't count on being able to print vouchers at the hotel. This backfired on us.

Great hotel and staff

Excellent hotel for the money and lovely staff - Lisandra was great in ensuring we had a perfect stay and was very helpful. Dining options were limited but we had a car so it didn't affect much. Room service replaces the towels and cleans garbage - that's it, but that was as advertised. Overall excellent experience will definitely return.

Great place to stay

Great Hotel, great location!

I loved this hotel, staff was helpful, great location, close to Wet 'N Wild, and Universal, and other attractions, but not located on a busy street. Quiet, has an awesome pool/lounge area, with pool bar and they play music, which is nice! We had the One Bedroom suite with a king bed, it was clean, and comfortable. I love the in suite jetted tub, with separate shower. There is a Keurig in the room, very convenient! Free wifi, also has an option for a ethernet to wire into the internet. The only thing I didn't like, was no free breakfast. There is a resort fee for the hotel, but its close to $12 per person per day just for breakfast. Not a deal breaker, but would have been nice to have the option. Other wise, check in and check out were a breeze, hotel stay went smoothly, and I would definitely return again if in orlando!

cannot recommend

The walls in our room needed a fresh coat of paint. There were stains on the carpeting. There was dried food on the kitchen sink faucet, and crumbs in the kitchen cabinet where the drinking glasses are kept. The bathroom tile needed grout in some places. No ceiling fan over the bed. The menu at their Cabana Bar & Grill is limited. Their free shuttle to WDW only drops you off at EPCOT twice a day. Return pick up is also at EPCOT, three times a day. You are on your own to then take Disney buses to any other park you want to go to and you have to be back at EPCOT to be taken back to the hotel. Their Theme Park Shuttles DO NOT get you to and from your favorite Theme Parks.

Good Experience

Pro: We were able to check in early. The hotel changes towels and does bed making everyday. The drivers to/from Universal Studio were friendly. The bus picked us up on time. The room was very quiet (No noisy A/C sound). Free coffee in the room. The hotel is very close to International Drive. Non-smoking room. Con: We were not able to adjust room temperature, so we felt cold at night... No vending machine. You'll be required to pay for internet service/printing at business center. The hotel will charge you $11 resort fee plus tax per day (which we were aware). If the weather is bad, it's tool cold to at the bar. We did not have a breakfast in the hotel. There were shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap in the bathroom.
