Nice Hotel

We enjoy our stay here. The staff are very nice to us. Especially during checking in, we met a very nice manager who took care of us well.

Good location, bad cleaning job

The Rosen Plaza is very well located on the International Dr.,close to many attractions. The staffs in general are quite friendly and helpful. The room we lived in was functional but a little outdated, everything looks old and wear out, the carpet, the washroom etc. The most unpleasant experience is the smell of the toilet. We had to close the washroom door when we were at the hotel room. Everything looked clean, yet the smell of urine is unmistakable. We guess the cleaning lady missed a spot, the question is how could she miss every time? Other than that, the value for money is really good and check in and check out are quick and easy.

Honeymoon Trip During Holidays

The hotel was lovely. The staff was very friendly, however...during our visit I requested extra blankets for our bed and two nights went by before they decided that they would give me extra sheets because they didn't have any extra blankets to give to us. I called down for two days and the response we got was we could give you extra blankets. I was very disappointed seeing there are over 800 rooms in the motel and MOST of the guest had checked out after the weekend. This was during the week when the blankets (extra) were requested and they couldn't accommidate.

Not bad for the price

The Rosen Plaza was a really nice hotel. The view from the 12th floor was great. My husband and I had a really nice stay. The only complaints were that the walls were paper thin. You can hear everything including the people above us who were....ahem....very noisy and the late nite cafe was very exspensive and the parking is bad. They charge $12 a night for valet and the free parking is very limited. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Nice but could be better

It was a nice hotel. But there where black discoloration on the roof and scrathes on the lamps. It also smelled like mold. Hopefully they can do something about the smell. It was not a good smell to walk into. Other then that i had a good time. When i walked into the hotel the service personnel was very nice and greeted me right away.

"Not everyones Dream"

After staying at the Rosen down the street a few weeks earlier.I found out the personel from the two hotels does not even compare. Rude, distracted and a I don't care attitude. The housekeeping staff was great, far superior to the front desk staff and service attendents in the lounge area. After getting soaked by a heavy down pour. We found our self standing in a lobby where a attendent just stared like a deer caught in a set of headlights; when we asked if we could get a few towels. They then responded by saying "we don't have any down hear." Not even a let me see if we can help you out and get you some. We created puddles from the lobby to the elevator and down to our room. I would have expected this of a fly by night hotel but not of a hotel with the name Rosen. We showered and decided to go for a walk down stairs after sitting at the lounge wait for someone to take our order. One attendent left us sitting there. The next attendent stepped into the area and proceded to wait on a person that just walked to the bar area. My guest and I had to speak up after letting him get a round of drinks (5 total) for that person. We found him to be distracted and complaining about some personel issue with the other staff member. The rooms were nice, price was fair with other hotels in this class.

good value

Overall the experience was ok. The rate of the hotel was excellent. The hotel staff put me on hold for twenty minutes and I had to hang up and call back, just to get a question answered. I also booked a king size bed and they were sold out at the time of check in. So I was disappointed in that. King size bed is one of my main reasons for booking a hotel.

Good for convention center visitors

Went to Orlando to attend a convention at the Orlando Convention center. The hotel is extremely close to the convention center, which makes it very convenient. Rooms are very good, clean, etc. TV is just OK, dont expect modern flat screen, but it is OK. Internet access is NOT included, so be ready to pay for it. The rooms that face the street are a bit noisy. There are people that walk into the hotel and drop pizza and food delivery papers under the door of the hotel; that is very unusual for the type of hotel and leads me to believe that security in the hotel is not good, if people from the street are able to gt to the door of each room! Overall the hotel was good, the location extremely convenient, there is always taxis in front of the door, and just across the street there is a lot of good restaurants as well.

Great location, so-so property

Stayed 4 nights at the Rosen Plaza while attending a convention at OCCC. The hotel is within walking distance of the convention center, and is actually adjacent to the West building. Very close to dining and the Pointe Orlando shopping complex. Rooms and facilities at the hotel were servicable, nothing really noteworthy about them. Clean enough, but not spotless. Staff was mostly indifferent, bordering on rude. Ended up in a 3rd floor room, directly over the porte-cochère and nightclub, which was very noisy even with the fan turned up all night. The 24 hour mini-mart/grill was nice to have available.

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Check the easel board outside the 24 hour market/grill for late night food specials -- they actually had some pretty good deals.
