Good location

This was our second stay at this hotel this year. The hotel is really looking dated. I paid extra for a one bedroom and ... found that all the rooms were the same except for two bed sizes. Don't pay extra as you will waste your money. The laundry machines broke while we were there and there was no attempt to fix them in three days. A lot of people were wanting to do their washing. The continental breakfast was paltry, just toast and cereal. With some juice and coffee/tea. Also the little dining area was always crowded and impossible to navigate. We will not stay there again. Drive to the Prime Mall outlet for some great bargains on brand name items. They have some perfume/cologne deals that beat duty free in the Caribbean. Buy one get one for either 4.99 or 9.99. Oshkosh had great deals on kids clothes. There are some good eateries close by including TGIF, Sizzlers and Chiles. Good food and value.

Couldn't beat the price, but you have to drive through a parking lot for a tattoo parlor and liquor/souvenir store to get to ... the hotel. Once inside, it's pretty much what you'd expect for the money, if a little nicer. They gave us a lake view room without me asking, it's ideally located if you have plans other than Disney for a vacation, and it seemed like there was someone cleaning something the whole time. Yes, it's a little old and worn down, but I have no doubt it's a clean place. There's a nice-looking pool and a video arcade. Don't get too excited about the breakfast unless you're a toast and orange juice aficionado.

JenB Dec 7, 2009
I came to Orlando for the weekend with one of my friends. We had plans to go to Citywalk Saturday night and attend the Rent ... Broadway play Sunday night, so we stayed over in the Ramada Inn Saturday night. We picked this hotel because the price was right and it was within a couple of miles from Universal Studios[...]As we were getting ready to go out Saturday night, we found that there are not a lot of outlets available for hairdryers, irons, and other things you would need an outlet for. The only ones showing were in the bathroom (and that was only 2 outlets. Because we were both getting ready at the same time and we needed to iron some clothes, 2 outlets wasn't enough so we searched the room for more. We found 2 behind the dresser, but neither of them worked! So we had to get on our knees and slither behind the dresser to reach the multi-outlet that was hiding back there and plug are things into those outlets. Very frustrating. In addition, there were 4 lamps in the room...2 free standing and 1 next to each side of the bed. Only 1 lamp actually worked. Then, Sunday morning, when I woke up and went to the bathroom to start getting ready, I noticed a bug crawling on me! I promptly searched the rest of the bed, only to notice another bug as well. This is completely unsanitary and disgusting.Aside from all this, all trash cans we passed were practically overflowing since no one bothered to empty them, the ice dispenser didn't work, and the hotel staff came across as the most incompetent I've ever come across.Do NOT stay at this hotel. Ever.

Blacklist this Hotel Nov 23, 2009
This was the worst Hotel that I have ever gone. They failed to honour the reservation inspite of my credit card being charged ... much ahead. I was shunted to much stinky place saying they dont have rooms. It was midnight and was forced to move from hotel to hotel. I have paid 120 bucks for a hotel which shows on bill for $55. This is nothing but cheating.

The breakfast area was small for the number of hotel guests. I had to stand while eating my corn flakes. The breakfast ... selection wasn't as good as some of the other bargain hotels. They need to clean the floor and walls of the elevator. Lots of foreign tourists, mostly from Europe.Located downtown next to a bungie cord ride that propels the riders in slingshot fashion up instead of down. Also, a carosel ride that spins around while going up and down a large tower.Visible from the balcony.

[...] Nov 12, 2009
Loved the room! We were on the top floor, over looking all the Orlando attractions.Clean room and friendly staff. The only ... problem we had, was that we could hear everything going on in the next room. Also, the breakfast is from 6:30-9:00am! By the time we made it down around 8, the only thing left was toast, oranges, and some cereal left. The price for the king bed seemed a bit high.

Horrible Experience!!!
Upset guest! Nov 6, 2009
The hotel itself was not the problem. the problem was when they had to transfer us accross the street to the Holiday Inn. The ... service was horrible. [...], the first room they gave us had a clog in the bath tub. When we moved to the second room, we were awoken at 4:oo a.m. by the loud room next door. We called front desk and they said they had just checked in and that is why they were loud! Ridiculous. I never knew that was an excuse to be rude and disturb others peace. We complained to the Ramada and they gave us a free night. But we wasted half a day trying to resolve the issue with the Holiday Inn. We were on vacation for a long weekend. Needless to say that ruined a day for us for sure!

I originally booked a double bed room in the Ramada Inn Intrenational Drive but when I called to let the hotel know my ... friends and I where going to be checking in late I was told a pipe had burst in the hotel. We were transfered to a hotel across the street, the Holiday Inn. That hotel was pretty good in my opinion. The room was cleaned throughly everyday (new linens, bed made, new towels and replacement toiletries, etc...). The hotel has serveral resturants in it but we didn't eat at any of them. The staff were also very polite and friendly.

The Holiday Inn as well as the Ramada Inn International are within walking distance of Universal Studios (about 15 mins). Several other attractions are nearby as well. Wet N Wild is about 5 mins away and the Ripleys Museum about 10 mins.
