International Palms Resort and Conference Center

We were looking for an average place to stay and that's what we got. The rooms were clean, pool area and work out room are great. Service at the front desk was incredibly slow, and although we called a day ahead to let them know we would need a 3:45 AM check out, our statement was not ready. It's a little on the far end of the action on International Drive, but we were able to find things to do. We didn't try eating at the bar/restaurant because there was no menu available to preview the food.

We only stayed here a couple nights, but it was very comfortable and clean. This is an old building, but for the price and just a place to sleep at night it was great. Also all the staff we met were very friendly, we had no problems while there.

Very bad experience. When I was in the shower the water went off. The internet was not working and they took the money. One they they do not clean the room and when they did it was not that good.

This hotel is definitely not a 3 star hotel. The carpets in the hallways were filthy, the walls were dirty, the room needed some serious updating. My wife and I left after 1 night although we were scheduled for 4 nights. This place is a 1 star hotel at best. The only thing positive I can say is the staff was friendly. It is certainly not their fault the ownership has chosen not to maintain the hotel.

On the whole good. We had been told when checking in that there would be charge of $7.99 for wi fi. We were happy to pay this amount. On checking out we were told, by a different receptionist, that a charge of $63.92 had been put on our credit card! On querying this amount we were told that it was $7.99 PER DAY! We were not pleased with the incorrect information given on arrival. We asked what this cost was for and were told, wi fi, parking and theme park transfers. We only used wi fi! Other hotels on International Drive give FREE wi fi, transfers and parking! Some also give free breakfast! My advice would be to check carefully what's on offer! We would not go to this hotel again.

We have just checked into this hotel. The property is grossly misrepresented as a 3-star property on most sites, and some go up to 4-star. Specifically stated in the room description as included in the resort fee are, "•Newspaper (daily) •Use of in-room safe." There is no daily newspaper. There are no functioning power outlets near the desk. There are 2 on a lamp on the desk top, but they do not work even after a visit by maintenance. The in room telephone is not functional, again, even after a visit from maintenance. There is NO in room safe. I will also mention that there are holes in the carpeting, and stains on the upholstery that appear to be some kind of whitish fluid. Yes, ewww. The mattresses are about 8" deep with springs that you can feel simply by running you hand over them, and they are more pronounced when lying down. The frame around the door looks as if it has been broken into numerous times, and it is dark outside the door (the light is burned out), so we certainly do not feel safe. These accommodations are less than I would expect as a bare minimum at a 2 star property. This property is grossly misrepresented. The accommodations are simply unacceptable by most standards, and especially as compared to this misleading information on the hotel’s web site. I have included pictures of all of the conditions as well as the “ice machine” and an example of the upkeep on the property…as many photos as I was allowed to post. The front desk staff were courteous, however, they did not do anything to correct the disgusting accommodations…likely because all rooms are this poor and they can’t reaccommodate us into something they simply do not have. Update: After numerous visits by maintenance we have a working phone and a power strip/extension cord so that we can at least use our computer at the desk. Regardless, are these the kinds of problems you want to be faced with when on vacation?

We got the "renovated" room. The whole floor smelled of smoke and the rooms were small. The decor was pretty outdated. My husband who is 6'1" was very uncomfortable in the bathroom and shower. Everything was so small but I guess for the price we paid we shouldn't expect anything nice.

We arriived early ,maybe 3 hrs but called ahead and explained we were going to be early.That was just fine with a $10.00 early check in we could get in the room early,all is good . We arrive and the room is not ready/cleaned we were told to come back in one hr. we did still not ready.We were told to come back in one and a half hrs , we did still not ready now it's after 2:00 pm.So I insisted on a room any room of equal value , we were tired and wanted to rest before our evening out .So we finally get to a room 12 th floor on the convention side whitch was fine actually we had a great view of international dr.I will say the desk clerks were very pleasent and do think they were doing all they could ,the staff must have been moving slow that day because it was'nt busy.All in all it was an OK stay if you want to enjoy international drive and it is close to everything.

It was a wonderful hotel. The staff was very nice and helpfully and the hotel it self was very well maintained

This is in a great location especially for universal as if you prefer not to drive it's within walking distance, vast array of restaurants for all preferences .
