International Palms Resort and Conference Center

When i arrived at this hotel very late at night, I was told that there were not enough rooms and i would have to go to another local hotel. There was one woman working and she was very busy. I waited quite awhile for her to sort through paperwork, call a mgr, and finally decide to give me a room there which all seemed very disorganized. I requested a double non-smoking room. When we finally made it through the lengthy registration time and headed to the room, we were greeted with an overwhelmingly smokey room. Being that it was so late and the staff was already so disorganized, we decided to just try and sleep. The room was completely disgusting. We wore shoes the whole time and slept in our clothes because the room was so dirty. The furniture was old and the floor lamps and many of the fixtures were literally rusting. There was long, black hair on the beds and ALL OVER the bathroom, even stuck to the walls. We slept for a few hours and left ASAP. This experience was a nightmare.

The rooms are below average, smelly and poorly managed. I was originally given a room in Building A which was extremely bad, included a TV from 1970-80. After requesting, the friendly staff moved me to building D which has been refurbished. Yet for >100$/day provides less than average rooms. I would rather pay less and stay in a average room.

Everyonr was very nice. The location was great and we had a quality room.

Location is very convenient, close to universal and sea world. Hotel offers transportation to and from parks.

On the whole good. We had been told when checking in that there would be charge of $7.99 for wi fi. We were happy to pay this amount. On checking out we were told, by a different receptionist, that a charge of $63.92 had been put on our credit card! On querying this amount we were told that it was $7.99 PER DAY! We were not pleased with the incorrect information given on arrival. We asked what this cost was for and were told, wi fi, parking and theme park transfers. We only used wi fi! Other hotels on International Drive give FREE wi fi, transfers and parking! Some also give free breakfast! My advice would be to check carefully what's on offer! We would not go to this hotel again.

We have just checked into this hotel. The property is grossly misrepresented as a 3-star property on most sites, and some go up to 4-star. Specifically stated in the room description as included in the resort fee are, "•Newspaper (daily) •Use of in-room safe." There is no daily newspaper. There are no functioning power outlets near the desk. There are 2 on a lamp on the desk top, but they do not work even after a visit by maintenance. The in room telephone is not functional, again, even after a visit from maintenance. There is NO in room safe. I will also mention that there are holes in the carpeting, and stains on the upholstery that appear to be some kind of whitish fluid. Yes, ewww. The mattresses are about 8" deep with springs that you can feel simply by running you hand over them, and they are more pronounced when lying down. The frame around the door looks as if it has been broken into numerous times, and it is dark outside the door (the light is burned out), so we certainly do not feel safe. These accommodations are less than I would expect as a bare minimum at a 2 star property. This property is grossly misrepresented. The accommodations are simply unacceptable by most standards, and especially as compared to this misleading information on the hotel’s web site. I have included pictures of all of the conditions as well as the “ice machine” and an example of the upkeep on the property…as many photos as I was allowed to post. The front desk staff were courteous, however, they did not do anything to correct the disgusting accommodations…likely because all rooms are this poor and they can’t reaccommodate us into something they simply do not have. Update: After numerous visits by maintenance we have a working phone and a power strip/extension cord so that we can at least use our computer at the desk. Regardless, are these the kinds of problems you want to be faced with when on vacation?

The motel was better than we had expected. Clean, non-smoking with no smoking aroma, bathroom bright and clean, beds comfortable and everything one could desireand beyond in motel at this price. The refrigerator, flat-screen TV with many options to choose to view. Staff were very warm and friendly. We'd definitely stay here again!

I went with my 2 kids (7 and 3 yrs old), we fell asleep on our 1st night- the next mornign there were A LOT of roaches! A LOT!!!! everywhere, the bathroom, on the carpet, on the coffe machine, it was just gross!!! I called the front desk and they asked me to come there so I could get a new room- they had me waiting, they gave me a room close to the other one, and didnt even apologize, the staff at the front desk were not understanding, or helpfull.

We got the "renovated" room. The whole floor smelled of smoke and the rooms were small. The decor was pretty outdated. My husband who is 6'1" was very uncomfortable in the bathroom and shower. Everything was so small but I guess for the price we paid we shouldn't expect anything nice.

The place is older but well kept. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The room was clean,the sheets soft, the furniture seemed new.
