Holiday Inn Resort LAKE BUENA VISTA

it was ok. The room is good. They did not have slippers for travelers. I did not ask other things like tooth paste.

When we arrived to our room after checking in, we discovered that it had not yet been cleaned. They transferred us to another room promptly, however. The new room faced the pool, but unfortunately wasn't very soundproof, so the sounds of screaming children made their way to the room until 11pm when the pool closed. The building layout was confusing and difficult to navigate.

The Hotel itself was clean and the room was great, however we were told that our hotel was a 5 minute walk to Downtown Disney, it was a 45 minute walk! When I booked the trip, my intention was to be able to take a shuttle bus to a park, come back to the hotel to take a nap and then go back to the parks at night..this wasn't an option since there are no shuttles that run during the afternoon and very limited shuttles that ran in the morning and evening. We spent more time waiting around for buses! I would never stay here again if I was going to Disney. There were no shuttles that ran for Magic Kingdom special events, so after being there for 7 hours for the Very Merry Christmas party, we were forced to walk back to the hotel or pay for a cab @ 12 am, not great if you have a tired child! Next time I go to Disney, i will stay in a Disney property resort! The hotel did not offer complimentary breakfast, however there is a 711 next door & a dollar store down the street which I didn't find until the last 2 days of our trip. We did eat at Applebees several times, the front desk didn't tell us they had vouchers for kids to eat free, a waitress actually told us.

We had a great time here--I came with my friend for winter break to go to the Disneyland amusement parks and Universal Studios We loved the pool (and it was such great weather!) as well as the Applebee's that was right in the lobby of the hotel. That was really important for our morning coffee as well as a really cheap (and fantastic) dinner option (please have the Napa Chicken and vegetables, it was such a hearty and amazing meal for $12 plus tip), plus was a great way to differentiate this Holiday Inn from the ton of different other ones. The only unfortunate circumstance was that the shuttle to the parks were very sparse and at inconvenient times, so we often took taxis everywhere, but they weren't too expensive. It was about a $20 cab ride from the Disney resorts, and $30 from Universal Studios.

Shower was awesome. Hot water and excellent water pressure. Pool was fantastic. Great location. Room was nice, although beds were not as clean as they should have been. Also, we were stuck next to a family that was extrememly loud, so I was forced to call the front desk. They went to the room, however they family was not any more quiet.

I wasn't there for the resorts, but I would book there if I was. Great location and great for families!

The room itself was perfect! It was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and extra pillows were in the room. The pool was spacious and clean. The area around the pool was picked up and the furniture was nicely arranged. Fresh towels were always available and the area itself was large enough to accommodate many people. We traveled in November which may have contributed to the small traffic flow of people. It was perfect for having some quiet time for the two of us! The staff was always very friendly smiling and saying hello. Downtown Disney was in walking distance which made for a nice night out. However, there was not much else within walking distance. The cab from the airport cost $70 before tip so we weren't too eager to take a cab anywhere. There was a highway nearby which created a lot of traffic in the area. Not much else was available... When leaving, we asked the front desk to have a cab ready for us at 2:00pm. The cab did not arrive until 2:47pm causing us a minor panic attack. The fitness room had cardio equipment and a few minor hand weights. I would have preferred a little more variety, at least a bench. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Holiday Inns have consistently provided a very cost efficient place to stay. Just be aware the hotel is a little off the main drag, depending on what you are looking for!

Excelent location, big and confortable room for 4 people.

Very conveniently located! Short drive to amusement parks! Didn't use to many of the amenities based on length of stay! Free WiFi was a bonus! Not sure why there was the need to pay for parking...???

HOTEL STAY WAS JUST WHAT I NEEDED, ROOM WAS CONFORTABLE, CLEAN AND PARKING WAS VERY EASY.
