Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Orlando near Universal Orlando Studios

In your website Hawthorn was a three star hotel. When we got in the room we realized that it was not a 3-star hotel. There was no refrigerator in the room. When I asked the manager about it he said they did not have refrigerators in the executive guest rooms. He also said that Hawthorn Suites was not a 3-star hotel;[...]. The breakfast was very substandard. Coffee terrible. They have plastic cups to serve coffee and orange juice.Our daughters were considering in swimming in the small pool they had, but when they woke up in the morning they saw that there were two ducks swimming in the pool. That shows how much the hotel administration cared about the hygiene in the pool. Finally, let me write a comment about the flight information you sent.You sent me an email on April 17 confirming that the Airtran 483 flight was departing from Baltimore to Orlando on-time, at 8:20pm. When we arrived to the Airtran desk in the BWI airport around 7:20pm we learned that the flight was delayed for two and a half hours to depart at 10:54 pm. They told us this was due to the hurricanes in the Carolinas and was known all day long. Great service !! Thanks for providing such an accurate information!!!

Good location for our needs. Hotel is fine. Good for family..lots of kids. Felt safe during stay. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel have everything we need.The free breakfast was a great help. Hotel is near to restaurants and fast food chains, even Walmart.We ate at Golden Corral which is near the hotel they offer discounted tickets,but too late when we know about it we bought ours at Walmart Super Center. The hotel is near Universal Studios and aprox 10-12 miles from Disney World.Hotel staff were nice. The only thing they need to change the appliances in the rooms, the sofa beds they all need to be updated.But for the price we got I think this is good enough, we were out of our room most of the time anyway.

My fiance and i went down for 4 nights to go to both universal studios and islands of adventure. We booked a 1 BR suite and for the size of the place i was pleasently suprised. For the price you will most likely be unable to find better. My only cons were that the kitchen was not properly equiped, ie. i had to go out and buy pans becuase there we none in the room. The room in general seemed a little out of date technologically speaking but going back to before the price you'll pay reflects this. Finally a big reason why we booked this hotel was because it offered shuttle service to and from the parks. this was essentially not a convenience at all as there were only 2 pick up times and one drop off time. we found it much simpler to drive ourselves. Overall it was a great stay and i would recommend it to a friend.

Great hotel for our long weekend getaway. The complimentary breakfast and happy hour were great! Free transportation to and from the parks was also a plus, though, it would have been nice to have a later option from Disney so we could have stayed and enjoyed the fireworks. The room was clean and comfortable and the pool was very nice and much enjoyed on our last day of R&R.

The hotel was definately not a 3 star as indicted in you hotel review. We arrived to find a room that was dirty from the walls to the carpet. The rooms are VERY worn out and in need of a complete makeover. I have stayed in many 3 star hotels that deserved the rating. This hotel however was a horrible dissapointment from the free breakfast (not very good)to the dirty rooms. I will not use [...]again for traveling because I feel that your reviews are misleading and were possibly falsely written. The hotel was terrible!

This was a very nice hotel. They had a nice free breakfast in the morning with hot food options each day. The room was very clean and beds comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful with getting us some ice and checking us into our flight the night before we had to go to the airport. The pool area was very nice, our sons enjoyed it. It was nice to have the kitchenette area as we saved by eating dinner in our room each night.

the room was great much more than expected, but the shuttle service to universal was awful always late and disorganized also promised 2 times for returned pick up and only did early one very disappointed.

The check-in was smooth and effortless. Top notch courtesy and service provided during our entire stay. We had a queen-suite with full-kitchen which helped with the cost of food. The room was very clean and beds were quite comfortable. Convenient stores nearby, ie Walmart Supercenter, the other direction there was a Whole Foods Market and a Publix. If you wanted to stay in and cook you had the option of doing so. International Dr and Universal Dr were nearby. The staff was nice and very helpful. Although we didn't travel with children, this is an idea place for families. The full hot breakfast and snacks in the afternoon were a hit! We would definitely come and stay again, no doubt about it!

The hotel is only about a mile from Universal, and close to many family friendly activities and eateries. The suites contained sofa beds, so it really had three doubles in two rooms. Kitchen, breakfast, happy hour make this a value-stay. Pool is small.
