The Hotel staff was very nice and friendly. They assisted us with everything without complications. The one thing that should ... be made more available is a shuttle service.This should be offered at checkin. The breakfast was ok. I think a hotwaffle maker would make breakfast more appetising and send a nice aroma at breakfast time. clean rooms and nice quiet floors. Great view over pool area...wish the building hadf balconies.

make use of the coupons in the common area of the hotel, we saved big bucks by the end of the trip by taking the boys (all very hungry teens) to buffet style restaurants (all located within a short distance of universal) and using the 10 and 20% off meals.

We went for the Universal Studios Halloween Horror Night on Halloween night. The hotel price as well as it's location to ... Universal were great. Had a 1 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds in the bedroom which were really nice. Also had a living room area with a sofa bed. With 3 people we needed each bed and the sofa bed. The sofa bed was awful. Terribly thin uncomfortable mattress. Otherwise the stay was quite pleasant. Room was very clean and the staff were very pleasant.

awkward location to find, unfriendly and 'matter-of-factly' attitudes in staff... pool is small, and they HAVE HIDDEN FEES ... EVERYWHERE, ie: room incidental charge, extra anything-for-the-room charge, phone use fees, $75 for missing towel fees, chrg to ur card automatically.... and the complimentary evening meet-n-greet food was pretzels and beer. the room was small, but adequate. towels were folded rather neatly, like swans and stuff. for cleanliness, a 7 on a 10 scale, 10 being best. staff all gave different answers for same questions we noticed...ck out time accord. to maids an hr earlier, etc...they came banging on the door...front desk sd to ignore them (?). for our family it was sufficient. but nothing to write home about. especially for cost.

One of the worst I have stayed at...Free Breakfast was terrible...lost of things missing like ketchup and Jelly. The shuttle ... took 90 minutes one day to go about 10 minutes away. We stopped at 15 plus hotels... When we arrived there was blood on the curtains...

We came in late but a room was waiting for us even though the hotel was almost full. The front desk and housekeeping staff ... were very friendly. The bedroom has 2 queen sized beds and there is a pull out bed in the living room. It has a kitchen. They provide breakfast, not the greatest, but its free. There's a happy hour every night for 2 hours I where they serve free beer, wine and chips. The pool looks nice although we didn't had a chance to use it. The elevator near the front desk was always busy but there are two more at the end of the hallway. The hotel is next to the famous International Drive where many restaurants and stores are located. We enjoyed our late night walk around the area and we felt very safe. The hotel provides free shuttle to the main attractions. We're very happy with our stay and for the price we paid for.

Great location and nice size room that smell clean. Breakfast was poor and misleading from what the website said. Elevator ... was extremely slow, it took us 15 min of waiting to get down from the second floor, when we had all our stuff with us for check out. Staff was great and you can't beat the price for the type of room you get.

This is the second time I stay at the Hawthorn Suites. Great and friendly staff. Erika was great our Executive Room was ... booked and we got upgrated to a Double Queen Suite, the room was spotless and the bed was conftrable. We are really happy with this hotel and the sevice. I would recomend. This to everyone.

The Golden Corrall buffet was an extremely great value for dinner most evenings. The buffet had an enormous amount of dinner, salad, and desert items to chose from, and were all great tasting. After spending the day amusing ourselves at the Universal Theme parks, filling our bellies at the Golden Corral was a real treat.
