Expensive
This is a large, but very average hotel. The only thing that makes it stand apart from others is the fact it has a Hard Rock T-Shirt shop in the lobby. There are one set of elevators in a very spread out hotel so bring your walking shoes. Figure on $100 for breakfast of a party of five adults. All that said, it was walking distance to the theme park at Universal and City Walk.

First time at a resort hotel
This was the first time we have stayed at a resort hotel on site for any of the Orlando attractions. It was definitely worth it. The accommodations were great and it was so convenient to just walk down the path to the attractions or take a pleasant water taxi trip back to the hotel. I will definitely consider staying here again.

Awesome hotel not to be passed up
The best part about this hotel is that its the closest to iislands of adventure and the room keys let you cut line at all the attractions. It is well worth the money if you were going to buy express passes anyways.

More of the Name Brand than what it offe
Hard rock is more of the name than anything. The room was super small, the bathroom was tiny.. You had to stand in a corner in order to open the door and get out. They charge for parking, internet and etc.. The pool bar automatically charged 18% tip and i received bad service and no free refill on fountain soda. THe hotel looks 10x bigger in the pictures... The velvet bar was tiny, but very nice.. Great bartender. I wouldn't stay at that hotel again. If i want to stay on property, I would try the other 2 hotels...

The Perks made the Trip!!
I went for a long weekend with my wife to enjoy Universal Studios. Because we stayed here, our room key worked as a fast pass in the parks. We did EVERYTHING in both parks because we had the fastpass. It was incredible. our last day, we just spent outside at the pool relaxing and listening to music. I was hesitant to pay the extra $$ for this hotel over Royal Pacific (I've stayed at both), but now that I've seen what you get, it's worth the extra money to stay here. Better food, better staff, better atmosphere, shorter walk to the park, and even better fellow guests!

Always cool
This was our third stay at The Hardrock Hotel. We brought our 2 adult children (over 18) and they're friends. Everybody had a great time as usual. The Hotel is very lively and the staff is awesome. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you would be better off at The Portofino. The Hardrock is the closest hotel to the theme parks only about a 5 minute walk.

I WILL BE BACK AGAIN..AND AGAIN....AND..
Let me start by saying I am a REAL person and this is a REAL review. When I read reviews i often wonder if they are real reviews or just planted by the company to say great things. So rest assured I am a regular person like you. That being said This was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! The staff was amazing. The friendliest staff I have ever met. Everyone from the front desk..to room service..to the guys that work at the ice cream parlor...etc. And by friendly I mean genuinly nice. Not that fake cheesy overly-smiley face some give you. Now perhaps we were in the right place at the right time, but got a free upgrade to the Club Level Suites on the 7th floor!! Where you have access to a private lounge with complimentary drinks, internet service, and other things. The on-site dining was fantastic. The pool was a blast. Complete with giant water slide, underwater speakers to listen to music,& plenty of room. The location was the best part. It was so fun to look out the room window and see roller coaters and attractions for all the universal parks. There is a nice water taxi that takes you to City Walk and from there you can walk to either Universal Studios or Universal Island of Adventure. (Which by the way with your room key allows you to use the express line at the parks so there is virtually no waiting for rides!!) If you are feeling up to it you could probably just walk to the parks. This was a great experience and I will always stay at this hotel when I come to Orlando! OK so just to show I am not all gushy over this place I will include a negative. Room service breakfast was kinda pricey. I suggest getting up and go down to the restaraunt called "The Kitchen" they have a great breakfast buffet for less than or equal to the price of room service breakfast. Also there was a foot stool in the room with what looked to be an small iron burn mark on it. Not a big deal but I just wanted to show that i was human haha. BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER!

Short drive from hotel
If you plan on driving around to the Disney Parks they are very close by. Probably took about 15 mins or so to drive to Epcot.
