Floridays Orlando Resort

The Floridays Hotel was awesome...our best Florida vacation ever. Everything was perfect. My husband and two teenage boys were so impressed - it felt like your home away from home. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

The Floridays unit I rented was clean and nice; however the property is somewhat off the beaten track with limited dining choices in the neighborhood and a great deal of construction activity taking place all around. Floridays' greatest appeal was the two bedroom suite with kitchen facilities, but I was disappointed that absolutely everything had been cleaned out of the kitchen. To do even the most basic cooking meant purchasing all the basics such as salt, pepper, sugar, coffee filters, etc. Absolutely nothing was provided except for paper towels and dish soap. The swimming pools are plain but satisfactory, except for a shortage of loungers which were all taken and jealously guarded by early afternoon. The large pond next to our unit was scummy and unattractive, at least at this time of year (March 2008). Overall I felt I could have obtained equal or better value for the money elsewhere in Orlando.

Floridays was a pleasure to stay at, Great location and very spacious rooms and very accomadating staff would recommend to anyone.

Floridays lived up to my expectations and more. It offers everything you could want. Staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel has been well maintained and the pool it perfect. This hotel is close to SeaWorld and Aquatica and not far from the attractions on International Drive. For those who like to shop, the Premium Outlet stores are literally right around the corner. I would highly recommend this condo hotel to all families looking for a relaxing, spacious resort. I can't wait to go back.

We stayed in a two-bedroom unit with a pull-out sofa. The negatives: There aren't any house phones on the floors in building F. This is dangerous since the hallways to the rooms are actually outside. My teenager got locked out of the room when her key card didn't work and found no phones connected to the wiring on each floor where the house phone should be. Thankfully we were close by and she could reach us by cell phones! The beds were not comfortable to me, who has back and neck problems. They could use another drain in the shower. Our room was a bit tight with the counter and dining table taking up alot of space between the kitchen and living room. Positives: The kitchen was complete with sink, micro, full fridge, dishware, pots & pans, dishwasher. It was great to be in a location close to Sea World, Disney, and Universal. (Sea World and new Aquatica were approx. 4 blocks up.) Also very good fish place up on Sand Lake (Fish Bones). We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on thick, soft bread for breakfast one day from the Palm Court, and eggs, too. It's steps from the large pool. Floridays' nice, large pool is behind the first building of six with a few chaise lounge chairs (get there early to secure some). One side of it has fountains for children to play in at 1 foot of water. There is another, smaller pool and jacuzzi next to building 5 (E) which is by a small lake. There is also a game room with air hockey and a few video games, plus arcade basketball. I would recommend it with these caveats.

Floridays provided us with a spacious two room suite, two baths, jacuzzi tub and a fully equiped kitchen. The kitchen has a dishwasher and the unit also has a washer & dryer which is a big bonus. The resort is close to Disney World, Universal Studios and other must see locations along with shuttle service to the above. Our rooms were quiet, spacious and very comfortable. We plan on returning for a 2nd stay next year.

I must say that place was luxurious. The layout of the rooms worked well for a family of four. My three-year old was able to sleep in her own bedroom. And my wife and I enjoyed the king-size bed in the master; also, our five-month old was able to sleep in his cradle next to our bed. The fully equipped kitchen with full-size refrigerator/freezer worked well for us. The plasma TV in the family room was nice. There was no wireless network but they did have internet access via network cable (that you can borrow from the front-desk.) We weren't able to experience the dining there as we dined at Disney. I would definitely return and recommend to all my family and friends.

Floridays is a great deal. For what we would have paid for a decent hotel room, we got 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a kitchen. The fitness center is basic but usable. The pools are decent. Don't bother with the concierge service, it's useless. Housekeeping is a bit sloppy but not in a disgusting way. It's very close to several big attractions. There is a super-market just around the corner which is handy (get bottled water. central florida's well water tastes like $^!#.) Lastly, do your self a favor - don't trust that the people there before you did a good job washing the dishes - I don't think housekeeping checks on this. Ick. They do provide dish soap for the sink and dish washer. Don't expect much from the room views. We had a view of the new condo project next door. Some construction still going on as well. This is not a hotel it's a time-share-rent-a-condo complex. However, there was NO pressure from the staff to get you to buy a unit. In general, not a bad stay.

Floridays turned out to be a fantastic place for our stay in Orlando. The resort was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our checking took just a few short minutes and the great experience will last forever. I loved our spacious rooms,and the fully equipped kitchen. At night the kids had their own television and my wife and I enjoyed watching our programs. I must also add the swimming pool was very beautiful. We had arrnaged for a rental car, and I loved the fact that everything from theme parks, water parks, grocery store, fast foods, and other great restaurants were all about 15 minutes or less away from the resort, and easy to get to. I would certainly recomend this resort to every family looking for a great vacation.

I was more than pleased with this resort. The staff was very friendly and made sure I was well taken care of. The grounds were spotless at all times and the room itself was beautiful. I highly recommend this resort to anyone that is looking for that home away from home feeling.
